"if you can't beat them, dress better than them"
@luciuskrane
Cristina watched her husband from the bed, a smile on her face. “Dress better? I think you look like a dream in your uniform, baby,” she told him, sleep still at the edges of her voice. “But I tell you that every morning.”
Life calmed a bit down around Hawkins, now 1986, Benjamin was 6 years old and this would be his first day of public school, normal school like he called it. Lucius managed to get a job as the PE teacher of Hawkin's Highschool ans he would manage the Hellfire club as well. Her comment made him smile brightly as he came closer, leaned in to kiss her cheek. "Thank you, I'll make the lunches, feed the kids so you can rest a little more~" he said as he gave her face multiple small tender kiss.
It had been close to seven years since Cristina had first encountered the man who stumbled into her hospital and her life was wonderful and blissful in the most unexpected ways. She was the happiest mother to Benjamin and Jane and her relationship with Lucius was something out of fairytales. She laughed softly at his kisses, reaching a hand out to touch his cheek. “No, no, I’m up now,” she murmured, sitting up to land a small kiss to his lips. “I’ll make breakfast if you pack lunches.”
When she touched his cheek, he hummed a bit, it was warm and soft on his face, he had a shirt full beard now, he really looked like a PE teacher now. He likes the job and he loved representing the Hellfire club even more, it was fun and the boys got him into D&D. "Alright, you do breakfast, I do lunches, great, let's go baby~" he said as he leaned in to kiss her lips quickly before he left the bedroom after the was dressed. He saw Benjamin already up in his Spiderman pajama, their son became quite a fast learner, he was reading fully by four years old and he strangely remembered everything he read or watch. Lucius ruffled his son's hair "hey Benny, excited for your first day of public school ?" He asked softly, it took a while before they agreed to send him there instead did homeschool.
Benjamin begged his parents for a full year to send him to public school, he wanted to make friends and be able to see Jane everyday. He loves his sister so much, he grew extremely close to her, Jane was his big sister, he admired her too. "Yes ! I will make lots of friends !" He said happily as he always seemed to be on a rush, the second he figured how to run as a baby, he did that most of the time and he didn't seem to tire himself out easily. His parents weren't sure if he would develop powers or not, it's the reason why they were hesitant to send him to a normal school.
