I caught up on Welcome to Night Vale again today (I got caught up I don't even know how long ago but then didn't listen to new eps for a hot minute for no reason, it just happened like that) and then this time actually followed through on my intention to start the Magnus Archives next. And I've only listened to 2 eps so far but ooh, I'm already hooked! I should've started listening to it sooner.

I was expecting it to be horror comedy because of how often I've seen it talked about in in relation to WTNV but I am more than happy with plain horror. I am excited to see where it goes.

I saw some people talking about a new trailer for the Dead Cells show and I had to go hunt it down and... why did they draw Beheaded's flame head like that? It's ugly. Is that a hot take? Like I was so distracted by how much I hated how it looked that I had trouble paying attention to the subtitles. Also, they talk in the trailer and I find that disappointing. They're silent in the normal animated trailers and I always really enjoyed that. It lets their personality show through just their actions and expressions, necessitating those things be a stronger focus. Which is fun.

Overall I am far less excited about this show than I was when the first teaser trailer dropped. I'll probably still watch it when it comes out, give it a real chance and all that, but I don't anticipate liking it much.
