It was just gonna be a simple sketch like the other MetalhEd prompts/asks but.. idk my hand slipped.
So, of course it depends on when in his life BUT
- His first tattoo is the blood seal on his chest, which he gets as soon as he's emancipated (and can thus take in Al to live with him). It represents Protection, Balance and New Beginnings.
- Second is the Pride Sleeve which.. I think he just thought it'd look cool.
- On his right shin is the tree of knowledge that is on his Gate in canon, he gets that when he's in grad school (which, since this is Ed, is at like 18)
- Then there's the one over the scar on his thigh, which probably hurt like shit, but ... his scarring is a bit worse than in canon due to the way he lost his limbs, and ... he always acts like it doesn't bother him and says scars are badass, but in the end he got it tattooed because he wanted to make it his own somehow.
- He's also gets a few smaller/hand-poked ones over the years, including the phrase "queer as in fuck you" on his ribs.

This one's actually a few months old at this point but I never got around to posting it. In light of today's news however ... it only seems appropriate.
YOI will always hold a special place in my heart, movie or not. But I would have loved to learn more about this Living Legend.
