It's kinda inaccurate (Yuji was definitely not skipping but rather walking in the scene, I'm not sure if he has a modified or regular uniform, how exactly was Megumi's ankle wrapped, I literally haven't drawn those chars before and probably missed something crucial, etc etc.) and decidedly still sketchy but it sure does Exist

(The pixel count is kiiinda meh because it was meant to be a small quick sketch, but then I ended up colouring it and stuff yet forgot to blow it up to a bigger size before making it more complex, oof)

The fic is not only of amazing quality in all aspects but also one of the few time travel fics in the fandom currently present that have more than 20k words (it's at over 70k as of chapter 13!!!)

It technically has romance (mainly Itafushi), but it's so well-written, believable, and warm that even I, usually a ship-fic avoider, absolutely freaking adore their every interaction (it's the kinda romance that does NOT forget that they're best friends first - platonic and romantic love are both on the same pedestal (probably holding hands tbh))

It's also kinda slow-burn which is good since there's PLOT and OTHER THINGS going on so everything can progress organically

All interactions between all characters are literally fantastic tbf, so the two main goofy goobers being so well characterised is no surprise (and yet still is a welcome one)

The worldbuilding and plot progression are also just *chefs kiss* too, so honestly even if you aren't much of a shipper (it's me I'm usually not a shipper) check it out for everything else fr

Bonus points; the plot happens basically right after Shibuya (characters got broken down in some ways and it's visible, woo! Yeah!) but the characters retain their personality and it's appropriately angsty but not Grimdark (at least not yet????),

Yuji yoinks Sukuna's CT, (for now, just(???)) Cleave ("Give Yuji a cursed technique 2024" fr, and it's even better if it probably leaves Sukuna SEETHING mwahaha),

Fecking with the Zen'in clan in a realistic way (get dunked on with facts logic and overwhelming power of the next generation, Ultra Boomers (derogatory)),

People actually reacting to Out Of Pocket information with a satisfyingly flabbergasted gusto (f. e. Gojo, at least internally for sure, hearing what his apparently future students were up to: "...aYO what the FU-"),

Time travellers that don't divulge their circumstances to Everyone just Some (it can work but in this case the sheer tension and suspicion this creates is just *chefs kiss 2 Electric Boogaloo*),

Literally everything else

I've been re-reading the few stories that contain Beast!Wirt and decided to draw the duo.

(This particular version of them is closest to how they're described in @antares-8 's series, "The Pilgrim's Progress" on Ao3)

(Wirt's dark clothing, the fact that his branchlers grow leaves, his longer hair, the change to Greg's attire with the exception of his teapot, Wirt's long fingers - though I feel like I could have shown it better - , and last but not least; Attagirl Smithereens - on Wirt's head)

(Though I did draw him with the colourful eyes, contrary to how in the series they're mostly white /and/ added flowers to the branchlers - similiar to the ones described on the Edelwood)

So, I read chapter 7 of "What You Wanted" (by @corwynnasmith ), noticed the beautifully included wardrobe description - and drew this.

I have no idea if it's actually accurate.

(I refuse to believe David wouldn't choose a Camp-Camp-green - and a little bit of yellow - flannel if he had the chance.)

(I had no exact idea which kind of a 'fluffy red winter coat' Gwen wears, so I kind-of stitched together multiple designs)

First piece of fanart that I put a significant amount of time into.

It's for an amazing story, "What You Wanted", part of the "Unnamed Horrors Run in the Family" series by KittySmith on Ao3.

It belongs to the Camp Camp fandom, and is the ongoing sequel to the equally incredible original, "Put that Kid Down".

If you would like a story where there is a Serial Killer!David that actually keeps his personality, that became one because of the circumstances plus the slippery slope, and not 'because yes' (which isn't bad by itself, but this does add another layer to the issue) - that is definitely a story for you!

(He also would never intentionally hurt a kid, which is not only in character for him - the whole debacle actually started with him saving one - but also what we both agree on (Although I personally am incapable of actually interacting with children - because I don't know how and 'What do I talk about with the little human?' - and not even remotely wish to have one myself, I do believe that they ought to be protected - even if they're the so-called 'little shits').)

If you like Dadvid and Maxson, and would like for it to be slow-but-steadily-going and realistic - that is definitely a story for you!

If you:

like the 'found family' trope, enjoy dark fantasy and mysteries, don't mind explicit violence and tilted morality, don't mind a main character actively commiting murder on a weekly/daily basis, enjoy stories that have consistently good grammar, dislike stories that focus on romance and prefer gen ones, simply like the Camp Camp characters (although David, Max, and Gwen are the focus characters, everyone else also gets incredible characterisation), enjoy stories that actually implement tension well, enjoy stories that delve into the characters' psyches without being confusing and too abstract (which isn't a bad thing by itself, but it's very understandably written in this story), simply like BAMF David (and everyone else in their own rights), enjoy additional worldbuilding that could easily be canon (on the basis of being so well implemented and fleshed-out), enjoy stories that have darker themes but are capable of blending in some humour and lighter things just so for it to not be overly depressing, like stories that have a really high re-reading value and overall are just an amazing read - that is definitely a story for you!

Seriously, all of the three rocks and the one kangaroo who will see this - read the thing!

Even if you don't know all that much about Camp Camp - as I did when I started reading it - you will most probably enjoy it!

(As long as you like the things I listed earlier, that is. If you are particularly averse to reading about murder, for example - you might not.)

(If you do read it though, read the original (PtKD) first - otherwise a whole lot of things won't make sense at all (also PtKD is just amazing - why not read it???))
