How They React to You Being Pregnant

When you told Tony, he was in one of his moods. At first, he didn’t believe you as he looked your body up and down and saw no sign of pregnancy, but as he saw the tears form in your eyes from his humorless words and look, his mouth went slack as he realized the truth behind your words. For a long moment, he processed this and simply stared at your worried expression, and then realization set in and a large smile formed on his lips.
Quickly, his arms wrapped around you, burying his face in your neck and crying softly as you gripped him close. “You bring the greatest gifts.” Tony choked out as you held him, sob-filled laughs coming from you.
“You’re going to be a daddy.” You murmured, pressing a kiss to the side of his face.
When you told Steve, it was on a random Sunday, not long after you found out. He was getting up to leave from the spot you shared on the couch, and as he gave you a kiss on the forehead and began walking away, the worst burst from your mouth as if you couldn’t hold it in any longer. He froze and his body went rigid for a moment, but when he turned around, there was a smile and look of disbelief on his face. “You? Us? Our baby?” He asked as he sat back on the couch, pulling you into his lap as you smiled and nodded. “That’s wonderful, oh my goodness.” He said, at a complete loss for words as you laughed at him, pressing kisses to his face and head.
When you told Thor, the smile on his face was undeniable. He smiled widely, looking at the floor as he processed your words, and then pure emotion over came him. Quickly, he dropped to his knees in front of you, placing his hands on your hips as you looked down at him in shock. Was he happy? Sad? Angry? You were unable to read him. For the first time in your existence, you were unable to read Thor.
Slowly, his hands guided up your shirt, skimming over you smooth, slightly bloated stomach, and he pressed his forehead lightly against it. “My Queen, you never cease to amaze me. You are the most wonderful creature there has been, carrying my child.” Thor murmured against your skin as tears formed on your eyes and your hands ran through his hair.
With Pietro always running around and being fast and all, it was rare you ever got him to sit still for a moment. This made it difficult for you to find the right time for you to tell him that you were expecting. It was two weeks since you found out, and you were growing frustrated. Pietro was constantly on missions, or simply training nonstop, and you were sleeping more than ever. Finally, as Pietro was training outside with a few others around, you grew irritable. “Pietro, do you have a second?” You asked him softly as he paused for literally two seconds near you.
“Not now!” He replied as he ran off, making you cross you arms angrily.
Thor snickered quietly as your dilemma as he ran by again, almost making fun of you. “Fine! If you don’t have two seconds to speak with me, I’ll just tell you this now! I am pregnant!” You yelled at him angrily.
It was as if someone hit the breaks on him as he stopped in front of you, smiling widely. “Are you?! That is simply wonderful!” He told you and took you into his arms, squeezing you tightly. His acknowledgment was enough to make your anger simmer away, even despite the calls and yells from the crowd that had formed.
You were not actually the one who told Clint that you were expecting. As bad as that sounds, it was truly an accident. You had confided into Tony and Tony only to test you and ensure the baby was safe, and just as your first month came along, not long after you found out for sure you were pregnant, Clint was in the lab with Tony getting some work done. That is when it let slip.
“So are you hoping for a little blue bird or a cardinal?” Tony asked with a smirk on his lips.
Clint paused from his spot on the counter where he was leaning and glanced back at Tony. :What are you talking about?” He asked quickly, confused.
Tony’s face paled quickly as he realized that Clint didn’t know. “Oh. God, (Y/N) is going to be furious with me.” Tony muttered as he glanced back at Clint with a frown.
For a moment, Clint was speechless as he thought about what Tony said, and it set in. “(Y/N)? She’s pregnant?” Clint practically squeaked.
Tony nodded. “If she asks, you didn’t hear from me. Please, for the sake of my safety.” Tony said with his back turned, but when he turned around, all he could see was the door of the lab closing as Clint left the room.
