(( I’m sorry i ducked out so quietly. i just need a break. i’ve been writing Dawn for a while now and, honestly, i’m not sure If i’m going to stay. but until i actually make the decision, consider me inactive. i’ll be sure to tell you all if i’m coming back or not before i start rping again. thanks for staying so long. ))

Visiting Neighbors for Tea and Stories

“I wouldn’t call it jarring.”

“Is there someone else in the observation room?” Sue asks.

“Don’t worry about it, he’s friendly.” Dawn looks back at Virgil with the most friendly look, but you can just tell she feels differently under that mask. “Well, sort of. He’s a being.”

“So he came to observe me?” She asks, unaware of the lizard creeping up on her. It lunges, but before it can make contact, her arm snaps up to its snout, and holds it in place.

Dawn smiles. “I guess you could say that.”

Virgil raises an eyebrow, as if to ask Dawn why she can’t hear him

“I’ll patch you through to the observations camera, Sue. Then you can see him for yourself. Sort of.”

Sue’s eyes begin flickering, from olive to white, from white to black, almost like static. You can hear the camera in observations’ aperture zoom in on you.

“Hello. I am Sue, a personal research assistant. But you knew that already.”

Visiting Neighbors for Tea and Stories

“Sure, sure. I don’t doubt that, in all honesty, but I made her. I know exactly what she can do. And she can do it well.” Dawn hits the lights, and turns on the cameras night vision.

Without touching it, Sue seems to terrify the lizard. It keeps squealing, and darting away from some unseen thing touching it.

It’s almost like it’s got a hand on it’s shoulder, constantly reminding it it’s not alone in that room.

Virgil frowns, keeping his eyes on Sue’s expression, the primer indication of Sue’s disposition as a program.

“Heheh, alright, that’s enough showing off. Sue, execute perso.exe.”

As soon as Dawn says that, Sue’s expression goes from a dull, neutral expression to that of someone who’d just woken up from bed.

“Mornin’ sunshine.”

Sue smiles, and looks into the camera. “...Good morning. I am Sue, your personal research assistant. How may I help you?”
