The year is 1956, and life is seemingly perfect. The whole family would sit down for dinner together, cars with fins could get you a date, sock hops and drive ins were the place to be on a Friday night. You’d twist the night away, dance in a poodle skirt, and hit soda fountains up everywhere you went. Every girl you knew owned a conical bra, and all the guys were trying to pick up girls at the drive in movies during intermission.
In high schools, there was certainly a diversity of students. Though they are labeled and different, they are all united at Rydell High School. From the Preps to the Greasers, and the nerds to the jocks, everyone had a place and if you didn’t fit into any of them, you were an independent.
Rydell High School, home of the Rangers and home to the most rambunctious teens you could ever meet.
