Evil deeds need sniffing out in Rotherham? Anti-muggle sentiment requires some artificial stoking in deepest, darkest Doncaster?” “I don’t think evil misdeeds only happen up north,” Ron pointed out. He had intended it as a sort of half-joke but Malfoy’s lips stayed pressed shut. “But no, it’s none of that. It’s... actually, it’s quidditch.”

I’ll spill out a brilliant, wrenching portrayal of a character’s struggle with grief over a loss and his complex regrets and guilt and then a page later I’ll have to write that a character who’s lying prone raises his head and shoulders up to look at something without fully getting up and I’ll get so angry I want to strangle an eagle with my bare hands

The door to the bathroom slammed open, making Remus jump out of his skin and the bath water slosh over the side of the bath. Paddy whined at him, tail wagging like crazy and sniffing at the bath-bound Remus in curiosity. He was briefly concerned that he was going to leap right into the bath with him, but was left with a different problem when the dog abruptly left, leaving the door wide open, and a very naked Remus on the opposite side of the room to his towel.

I didn't have a dog at the time of writing this. I now have a dog and can confirm that it's very accurate indeed.
