This moment right here, where Simon is already chasing Wille’s lips for a second kiss but Wille is quite literally drunk on his feet off of the fact that Simon has just kissed him. He is physically swaying with relief, he’s not even breathing.

And you can see Simon briefly opening his eyes because, where did you go, why are your lips not on mine? For a moment there Wille was too overwhelmed to even keep kissing him.

as always, @malinthebodyguard sent me this video & is to blame for my obsession with language / pronunciation.

tl;dw – jimmy did a-ok with omar's name today !!

I cringed when Fallon called him Rudbari but now I'm actually impressed because I myself always try to call people by their name with their original pronunciation. So Fallon basically tried to pronounce both Edvin and Omar's name in the Swedish way. His attempts weren’t perfect but they were well intentioned. So kudos to him.

Never getting over the significance of Wille being ready and willing to give up the crown to August.

From the very beginning, his plan is clear. Exact revenge by taking away everything August cares about. Wille mercilessly and methodically plots to turn the residents of Forest Ridge House against him, getting him ousted as prefect and captain of the rowing team. By his lead, the first years no longer respect August, trampling all over the traditions that he holds so dear. He humiliates August in front of all their friends at the party. “You are to address me as Your Highness.” Take away the respect and honor he feels is owed to him, take away his precious traditions, take away his power. Destroy him from the inside out.

In the midst of all this, Wille is finally dealing with his own anxiety and trauma. He’s opening up to Boris, the counselor, and finally speaking out loud the things he’s bottled up for so long. The pressure, the expectation, the belief that he should be able to handle it. Why can’t he handle it? This is the life he’s destined to live because of who he is, right? But then, for probably the first time in his life, an adult that he trusts and whose opinion he values, gives him permission to not only feel the way he feels, but that he gets a choice. I think this is a defining moment in his life and it sparks something inside of him.

Power is all that August has ever desired. The very same power that Wille was simply given. Wille knows this, which is why he made it his mission to rip it all away from him when seeking revenge. And yet, after Wille has learned that August is his “backup plan”, he does this:

He’s not only prepared to give up the crown and all it holds, but he’s willing to give it up to the one person he despises more than anyone else on earth. To choose to give August all the power he could ever want. Just so he can be free. That’s how desperate he is to be with Simon. To make things right. Simply abdicating would have meant a lot, to be sure. But willingly handing over the crown August? What a powerful statement of his love for and devotion to Simon.

I’m so glad that he ultimately found his courage at the jubilee, not being satisfied to just give the crown to August and keep Simon a secret for two years. The fact that he was willing to hand it all over to August was enough. I think it took Wille a minute to realize that Boris’s advice meant that he could be bold enough to choose Simon and the crown.
