Azula/Toph 🥰
azula sits in her room reading when her door bursts open and toph come into the room and sits on the princess bed, "can i help you?" toph says nothing as she sits. azula frowns. "I take it the meeting with your parents didn't go well" toph balls her fists in the blankets. azula sighs and puts her book down slowly crawling across the bed until she puts her arms around the earth bender. Toph smiles. "what are you doing?" azula blinks confused. "im...what does tylee call it... cuddling. it apparently makes people feel better." toph laughs and leans in to kiss azula. pulling away. "you are terrible at it" azula frowns and crosses her arms while toph stands and goes over to the dresser. "but you are cute. ive felt your face." toph changes into sleeping cloths. "so i guess i could teach you how to cuddle right." azula rolls her eyes. "im honored for the privilege to learn from the great bei fong" toph climbs into bed and pulls azula into her arms. "you should be." azula smiles and snuggles into toph. "if you want we can talk about your parents tomorrow". with a wave of her hand the candles in the room go out.
Toph kisses her head. "i love you too firefly."

in 2012 we had an anti-abortion demonstrator on campus. I was in a ballet intensive and I walked by him—30 yards away & in total silence—wearing leggings and a sweater over my leotard, and he yelled, “nice cameltoe, dyke!”
I got to class and told my instructor about it and we complained to campus security, who told us that the campus was open to the public and that it was “his legal right to assembly and protest.”
so I guess the NYPD just showed up this time because these protestors forgot to sexually harass students and call them homophobic slurs. Easy mistake to make
University administrators hate and loathe students, because they don't want to run a university, they want to just schmooze with wealthy alumni and accept endowments. They don't care about the health and safety of students, don't care about the politics of students, don't care about anything but pleasing their wealthiest donors, who are typically the ones who would never have protested and went on to work for Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, etc... making the very weapons that are being sent to Israel to enable the genocide of Palestinians.
