Some Unforeseen Consequences of an Unfortunate Prank Ages ago I wrote this story in which Remus accidentally turns into a girl and Sirius who thinks he's straight falls in love with Remus-the-'girl'. I think that was a trope back then, I don't know about now. But lately I've sometimes thought about that story and about the idea of gender in it must've been pretty binary and stupidly normative. So, I kind of wanted to try writing around that idea now. I still felt like I was being pulled into normative understandings of gender or sexed bodies - like, the main idea that Remus now looks like a girl kind of relies on norms about how girls look like or are supposed to look like, compared to boys? But well, here it is and writing it was fun if not a bit confusing, and also as you may have realised by now the story itself is crack-ish romcom-ish silliness.

May I just say that I got this comment on AO3 for a story that was dated 2006 and I refrained from answering that my dude, are you aware you are a teenager???
