it really is insane how waking up early will grant you access to some of the most beautiful sights and sensations in the world that will make you want to live forever, but only if you overcome the gauntlet of a thousand razors that is getting out of bed early. truly one of life's little saw traps.
not that either is a good thing but there is a small cosmic sort of irony to appreciate in the way that the russian invasion of ukraine and the most recent nakba happened so close together and how they through comparison made it undeniably clear how much the definition of war crime and genocide and atrocity &etc depends on the geopolitical interests of the imperial core

aaron bushnell knew exactly what he was doing. he states his intentions with total lucidity and sense of purpose. he knows what he's about to do is extreme--he says so. he speaks calmly, but he's clearly terrified. he takes a deep breath after pouring the accelerant over himself. he has to psyche himself up to light the flame. he struggles with the lighter. he says "free palestine" normally once before he starts to scream it. even through his agony he manages to say it one last time before he stops being able to speak at all. this is a man with total conviction. he wanted to help people, in any way possible. this action was a moral one, and any news outlet painting this as simply a mental health issue is a disservice to his memory. he knew what he was doing when he burned himself in uniform. he knew that there was a chance that sacrificing his own life could go on to save many others. this was the ultimate act of selflessness, and it should be treated as such. may he rest in peace.

ur blog aesthetic makes me wanna cry tears of joy
Wow I’m not sure how old this is but thank you hahah
Listen to me: You get good at things by being bad at them. You learn by failing. You gain competency and a sense of mastery by failing at something many times and in many interesting ways.
The sooner you are able to laugh at your own failures, to enjoy the process of messing up, the easier life will be. Because you'll no longer be afraid of learning.
And once you're no longer afraid of failing, you can learn anything.
i wish it were as easy as it sounds
And that's the thing of it, isn't it? Failing and accepting a failure is itself a skill.
And it can be very hard to learn, especially if you come from a family where a failure is a sign that you are a failure instead of a sign that you are learning.
You're going to fail at failing well. There are going to be times when it hurts, times when your brain is telling you that you should just give up and you'll never get it. Times when a failure is going to frustrate you to no end.
And you can still learn to fail well. You can learn to see it as a sign that you're learning, you can learn to give a little chuckle and say to yourself, well, everyone screws up sometimes, I'm just learning.
It is not easy, but it is important.
3/2/2023 - there is a lot of frustration and anxiety. I have not slept in 48 hours and not eaten in 12. an economic crisis and a degree in literature and it is killing me. there is an ever-tightening knot in my chest, even when I feel empty. I will find my place here one day. maybe- but I try my best to stay happy. chocolate éclairs and vampires help sometimes. postponed deadlines when you have gone through hell to submit already- do not help.
Hello Studyblr community! •ᴥ•
Hello there! I’ve been wanting to make a Studyblr for the longest time and I’ve always been too shy too, but since I’m starting my sophomore year of high school soon I decided that I should just jump right in ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ.
Some tidbits about myself ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
- I’m currently watching The Office on Netflix and I love it
- I live in the oven which is Texas ;-;
- My first language is Spanish, but I went to an English speaking school and now I’m fluent in both
- I have 5 chihuahuas (wowiee))
- I really like succulents, but when my best friend gave me one as a gift I accidentally killed it (╥_╥)
- I really enjoy the color white and transparent (does that even count??
The reason why I’m making a Studyblr ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
- For motivation! Last year I procrastinated a lot and my grades suffered, I was around the wrong group of people and fortunately, I’ve cut ties with them and I am now in a wayy better place :) I feel like making a Studyblr will hopefully keep me from ignoring what’s important to me.
Thank you to whoever took the time to read all that ᵔᴥᵔ I truly appreciate it!
Here are some Studyblrs that inspired me! ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
