HALLELUJAH MONEY

YOU’RE WARM,       && your warn down fingers sing songs for you--    the ones you don’t have the COURAGE to sing YOURSELF. your fingers are RAW && the shading of each key is starting to FADE.    But none the less  you  continue to PLAY---   soft melodies that carry your WORDS OF KINDNESS && WARMTH,    the words you want to share, the words you want to BELIEVE IN.

❛  sorry. ❜      his voice is so sincere he's almost taken aback by its genuine nature.  a hand reaches out to pick up the items that had been knocked from her hands; the average stuff a girl like her would go about carrying. not like he'd know, of course, seeing as how he's not too familiar with her, to begin with.

your chest is heaving-- it's lined up with something, isn't it?  it's dangerous && wild  (  EMOTIONAL && TEETERING AS WE SPEAK  ),   it draws us all in; like moths to a flame, your breathing comes out in heavy gasps.    you sound like you're drowning.

it's STRANGE to the rest of us at least, because in your own way you're your own MYTH--  its in the way you walk, the way you talk && how you carry yourself with mystery && an unnatural balance which ties it all together.  YOU'RE SOMETHING... strange, something new && something dangerously different---   some of us will stand there && gaze at you in awe while others can only catch momentary glances which leave them WONDERING if you were just a DREAM.   but you're not, we KNOW you're not; you're all too real && it shakes us until we're all just FEARFUL.

a lot of us has come to you motherless && attention starved   (  our greedy little hands reaching for what we thought was unobtainable  ),  && you came to us, arms wide && welcoming--  you embraced us && shared with us your warmth, your love, your KINDNESS.  you melted our COLD insides && allowed us to experience BLISS, EVEN IF, it was just for a fleeting moment.

you keep pushing these buttons in all directions but the RIGHT ONE &&   no one can tell if that's  a  good  thing or a BAD one cause you leave them WEAK IN THE KNEES---    you got us all feeling nauseous (helpless).  you leave the girls with their insides in knots && the boys are left to sort out that fire in their lungs && the acid bubbling in the back of their throats. you got them all FUCKED UP && they can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad--     they can't tell if you're a good thing or a bad.

you laugh like GOD && from your person you shine something HOLY, something beautiful-- (  girl, you've been BLESSED!!  ).  with your hands, blessed && defined by your fruits of labor, you create something BEAUTIFUL; you create LIFE, from your blood, your sweat, your tears && passion!!  your palms are bruised && calloused, hard work gets to you soon enough, yet some how they remain just as perfect as they once were.

you’re like NANCY DREW, but better, with a good head on your shoulders && some odd kind of CHARM hovering around you. the kind that pulls everyone && thing into your preferred PACING--  (  its hard to get out of your locomotion  )  so, you know, congratulations on becoming an UNAVOIDABLE FORCE!!

you're light on your feet but your hearts all sorts of heavy, DRAGGING your weight around && looking for all the brighter sides of things!!     HOW ADMIRABLE. a true saint amongst these sinners--  looking at us with those wide eyes filled with wonder &&  kindness, your voice carries softly but we all stop to listen to whatever prayers you've got hanging off your tongue.

you  got  a  lot  of  NERVE  you  know  that  right!?  walkin’ around town like you’re the big man on CAMPUS!!  (  LOOKING SMUG && GORGEOUS  )    but  i  got  news  for  you,  buddy,  the  whole  world  has  some  real  HEADLINERS  for  you  to  pay  attention  to-- YOU!!   AIN’T!!   SHIT!!   you’re  a  lot  more  than  that.
