STAR WARS: THE SKYWALKER SAGA (1977 — 2019)

Let me just put it this way:

In the last month and a half and some change of the Lockdown here, I have alternated between wanting to murder my sister, letting her murder me so that she will have to live with that crushing guilt for the rest of her life and it will consume her every thought, waking hour and sleepless nights, wanting to run away from home like a fucking sixteen year old again, wanting to flee the country, wanting to call the cops before I enact physical harm on her, and wanting to fuck up her snivelling toad of an ex boyfriend who broke her heart. It is an experience to say the least.

@queeng-anabyssforamind has had front row seats and I am so sorry, my love.

To be fair I gained a sister in @randomingoftherandomness through this process. So the best experience yet if you ask me.

Cool Tip

If you are like me and always need to be working on something to keep your anxiety under control, during this quarentine why not helping scientists by looking at pictures of some neat penguins? or even galaxies?  There’s this site call Zooniverse, where you can help on scientific projects by analyzing pictures and data!  Right now my favorite project has returned, called Penguin Watch (where yeah, you get to watch penguins, it’s amazing)

you basically have to analyse photos looking for penguins, their chicks, eggs or even predators and human interaction But there are lots of interesting projects you can help in areas such as biology, physics, history or even art: 

Oh and the best part, some institutions even accept it as volunteering/service hour requirements for graduation and scholarships!! It’s helping me a lot during this time, so I thought it was worth sharing

the thing i love about yoon se-ri and ri jeong-hyeok, is that by the end of the series, they were both well off alone.

se-ri was happy to be back to her own life, she was making friends with her employees, she had a good relationship with her mother and a (slightly) better one with her not-as-much-of-an-asshole-as-you-could’ve-been brother, and she was being healthy and just generally enjoying most of her life.

jeong-hyeok was finally doing what he actually wanted to do and what he loved—playing the piano. he had a closer relationship with the other guys and his neighbors, he was smiling more and caring about his own health and happiness as well as those close to him. he was no longer a part of a loveless engagement and i assume his relationship with his parents also changed for the better as a result of what all of them had to go through.

they both built lives outside of each other and were happy. they weren’t two parts of a broken necklace that necessarily needed the other piece to function.

what i love about them is that they wanted each other. they led relatively great lives by the end of the series and had grown into happy and confident people, but they still wanted each other in their lives. they were already great as individuals, but they knew that together they would only make each other better.

i love that we saw them longing for each other, but not at the detriment of their own, individual lives.

I always believed and often said that partners should enrich each other and I never imagined a show would help me illustrate that so perfectly.

Rahim is always like "I don't give a fuck, this is me" energy and I love that 💕
