To all of you oldschoolsciencefiction fans, August 11th was the final posting on this site. The writer was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on August 12th. As his wife, I know how much he enjoyed all things old school science fiction and sharing with all of you who also shared this love.

We’ve lost an Old School Sci Fi icon. Actress, singer, and dancer Nichelle Nichols, universally remembered as Star Trek’s Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, has passed away at the age of 89. She will be sorely missed.

This Tumblr has become an obituary column. Rest in peace to Bernard Cribbins, known to Old School Sci Fi fans for his portrayal of policeman Tom Campbell in “Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.” (1966). Not so old school fans will recognize him as Wilfred Mott from the Tenth Doctor era of Doctor Who.

The English actor and singer was 93 years old.
