You don't doubt yourself, but you start to be more careful in what you do and that actually makes things worse. I've been annoyed with myself and you go all week thinking about it and you just want to move on to the next game to prove that it's not a regular thing.

I thought that after making 2 mistakes, maybe I wouldn't start the next game. But before these games, I've played almost flawlessly and I hope that's why I'm still starting games because he knows that apart from the last few games, he can trust me. I didn't make mistakes and I was confident in what I was doing.

Antonio Conte will not be sacked by Roman Abramovich following the 4-1 aggregate loss to Barcelona, but is still set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer (Goal).

Several Things

1.       Courtois is not ‘World Class’

I’ve been saying this for a while, and I always get grief for it. The hype behind him is mainly because he is part of Belgium’s golden generation, because he plays for Chelsea and Chelsea win things, and because Chelsea chose him over Petr Cech. I do hope that one day he proves me wrong but right now he is bang average. He’s asking to be made the top earning goal keeper IN THE WORLD, but I wouldn’t even rank him in the top six in the Premier League. We tend to point fingers at our defenders for goals conceded but Courtois’ form this entire season has been poor. You can go as far back as the 3-2 loss to Burnley in August.

2.       You have to be patient with Alvaro Morata.

Like Conte said, this is the first full season in his career. I know a lot of people are worried that we’ve signed another Fernando Torres, but you have to give Morata time. For those who remember, Didier Drogba was pretty poor during his first year with us as well.

3.       Eden Hazard deserves to be in a better side.

This one speaks for itself. I’d hate to see him leave, but the way things are at Chelsea currently I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. This summer transfer window is very important for us as far as bringing in players around whom Hazard can thrive.

Chelsea sign Giroud from Arsenal for £18m

Chelsea have completed the signing of Olivier Giroud from Arsenal for an estimated £18 million.

The France international will join the Blues on an 18-month contract with an option to extend it for another year after the two clubs agreed a deal on Wednesday.

Roma defender Emerson Palmieri has completed his £17.5million move to Chelsea.

Thierry Henry is confident Ross Barkley can emulate Frank Lampard at Chelsea

Henry: 'At Chelsea he is not going to be the man. He took the number of a Chelsea legend in Frank Lampard, so that is a good start. But can he do what he did? I think he has the quality to do that. Willy Caballero made his Premier League debut for Chelsea at Brighton and Hove Albion after Thibaut Courtois was ruled out. Belgium international Courtois sustained an ankle injury and joined Danny Drinkwater, Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill on the sidelines, while Alvaro Morata and Pedro were suspended following their midweek red cards against Norwich City in the FA Cup - a game where Cabellero proved to be the penalty shootout hero.
