from expired film to photographs taken by someone who has never tried to focus a lens before, birdie is an amalgamation of 23 random and incomplete reshade presets, in a pitiful attempt to imitate a vaguely filmic look.

birdie is also a very hands-on preset. if this is your first time installing a reshade preset, please do both of us a favour and don’t start with birdie for now.

I'm coming back to actually playing Sims 4 and wanted to find a good reshade preset and this is the best one I have tested so far, I'm so mindblown with how detailed and organized this is (I'm a freak with organization). If you're an avid reshade user this one is a must. Even if you don't like the preset, they've included additional versions of some shaders that might come really in handy to you. (and btw I'm on version 5.9.0 and they're all working fine).

These are all cut versions of the 4th eyebrow from my previous set (the thickest one), now with 3 distinct cut options + 3 mirrored versions! These will look cute on our rebel uni sims, right?

Something I would love to see in the Sims 4 is a system to define different areas on a lot, which could be used to create small apartment complex, townhouses, or even lots with multiple lot type. Even something more simple with only residential areas would be nice, it would allow us to create the types of housing I mentioned above (these are really common type of housing in real life, I can’t understand why we still can’t create them, we can only pretend).

(I made the screen in Photoshop, this system doesn’t exist)

now with pack refreshes/updates I just wish the sims team did this...

If you can't get your game to load because it keeps crashing - use the new S4S cheat to find and remove the culprits! S4S > Ctrl Shift C to bring up cheat console > type in Slot195 > navigate to your mods folder > remove ALL the items it brings up. You'll have to do it manually so I recommend copying and pasting the file names and searching for them in your mod folder. It took me an hour (I had over 150 files) but afterwards my game started up straight away with no issues and I can play as normal! Bless the wonderful people at S4S!

How to group your custom contents together in CAS

This method is easy and apply to the entire package.

Required: Sims4Studio, CAS Tool 

Step 1: Open MTS_CmarNYC_1908634_S4CASTools_3_2_1_0 zip file, locate S4CASTool.exe, double click to run that file, enter your creator name and check for that it is the right directory to your The Sims 4 folder, hit Save.

Step 2: Have your package ready, I will choose this hair package from Sims4Studio

Step 3: In TS4 Cas Tools program, click on Clone Package Editor tab, click Select button right below to choose the package you want to change.

Step 4: locate the Order in CAS function, it will show the number of the original package you cloned from, the higher the number, your file will appear at the bottom in CAS. Change the number to what you prefer, I change it from 170 to 100

Step 5: When you’re done, hit Commit Changes button, and Save Package. 

Step 6: Put that package in your Mods folder and open The Sims 4 game.

You can see the original pig tail hair is at the bottom for (170) while my new package is above the original (100). 

You can use CAS Tool to apply changes for the whole package instead of each swatch like Sims4Studio, with other function like Sort Layer, Composition Method. This is super helpful to update your old packages or new hair packages (that already had 18 swatches)
