Robots and Feelings 01 - Rise

Do humanity's machine children inherit their flaws through the touch of their creators or can they resolve the contradiction, and truly fight for a lasting peace on Earth?

hey is the wheel and the way still a thing?

it is! we’ve been on a bit of an extended hiatus while a few of our number were too busy with Life to produce regular episodes, but we’re far from gone

So I'm 4 episodes into That Which Waits and I was curious if anyone ever needed a breather because it felt like some of the NPCs have been hostile in a way that would be pretty intense to be on the receiving end of, which was honestly pretty surprising. [And it really sounded like people were genuinely shaken up by the turn things took at the end of the gnoll situation too]

We've all needed breathers here and there! Sarah's good abt making sure we have time to step back and relax after each sesh, and she's totally a huge softie when she's out of dming mode, so we're all able to like, come out of the characters and still know that the friendships are there, which helps a lot. This is super emotional business, really?Like, personally I've had to step back when editing or sometimes mid-sesh because I'll be crying over stuff that's happened or getting mad and fighty over ppl being mean. Sarah and Taylor are both really understanding at times like those, though.Tl;dr:yeah we totally get emotional over stuff that happens and need breaks sometimes but we all love and support each other thru it.-Tori (Aka Mazoga)it’s super important imo that we take time after each recording to hang out and just chat? aftercare is important.there were a couple things in the gnoll sequence in particular that were deeply personally affecting for me as well, so that shake in my voice is not forced lmao-Taylor (Aka Siobhan)

Streets of New Morceau - Episode 18 - What Comes After The Fall

The final stage of grief is acceptance. This doesn’t imply happiness, only moving past and allowing yourself to regrow. And though the pain of loss may never fade, it doesn’t always leave scars upon the soul, nor does it have to. A friend’s death can bolster, as surely as it can ruin. What you do, and how you remember them, is up to you.

Streets of New Morceau - Episode 17 - A Death in the Family

Those who burn brightest burn fastest. A testament to those determined to give of themselves until there is nothing left. But though the body turns to dust the mark they made on our souls lasts forever. Let not your heart be troubled, for as long as we survive, they live alongside us, in every piece of our lives they made better. Because the hottest flames don’t just burn highest, they start fires.

Streets of New Morceau Episode 16 - And I’m Not Afraid to Die

We all wear masks. Deep down, we're all afraid to show who we really are. They let us get through the day and survive the unending erosion the world drops on our heads.

But there’s no one who wears a mask better than a wolf. Perfected to hide tooth and claw among wool and hoof. And sometimes that mask is so good the sheep forget the wolf ever existed, until it comes off.
