Roman mosaic discovered during the last excavations in Pompeii.

This mosaic is unique, since, as the director of the Pompeii archaeological park said, an ancient representation like this of ORION, the mythical and gigantic hunter famous for his beauty, has never been found. On this mosaic the psyche (soul) of Orion is depicts rising into the sky to become the constellation.

Discovered in 2018
