Anybody else remember how for a few years after 9/11 it was totally reasonable to be scared of a low-flying plane or flying/airports in general. It was just understood the 9/11 was an event that affected the American psyche and even though most planes landed totally safely it was understandable to be scared.

But when young people who are increasingly forced to consider the thought of being shot in school or at concerts say they feel uncomfortable with people openly carrying guns in public, suddenly they're too sensitive and infringing on the rights of others.

People keep saying the Supergirl fandom needs to calm down when it comes to all of this harassment, but perhaps that is just shorthand. 99% of the harassment coming from this fandom, and hell most of the Arrowverse shows, is coming from the LGBT community.

These shows share mostly the same fandom, so it’s not so much a widespread issue among the LGBT community as a whole as it is a widespread issue in the Arrowverse LGBT community.

You people need to fucking stop! I swear you’re getting worse every fucking year! Azie, who seems like such a sweetheart, is getting constantly attacked by the Sanvers fandom. It was said that Chyler needed to warn her about the type of fans this show has. It’s a huge fucking disgrace that she needed to be warned about you psychopaths! That things are so bad, joining up with this show requires a goddamn warning label!

To the people out there harassing the actors, you are some of the scummiest people, and I hope your hostility stems from the fact that you’re a bunch of idiotic, hormonal teenagers and you’re not actual grown adults doing this.

This became an issue a long time ago, but it’s only truly in the last year or so that it became disturbing. The Zarlie fandom was ready to erase Zari from existence if it meant the new Zari would be into Charlie. The Supercorp fandom has bullied multiple actors off Supergirl and they’re PROUD of it. The Sanvers fandom has become so toxic so quickly in regards to Kelly and Azie they’ve given me whiplash.

And I have no fucking idea what’s going to happen with Batwoman. Kate Kane is a lesbian, and if we get a love triangle on that show, and come on it’s the CW so there will definitely be one sooner or later, I can only hope and pray that it doesn’t get too toxic.

There are plenty of nice, non-batshit-fucking-insane people in those LGBT fandoms, but holy shit it feels like they’re all outnumbered by the bad ones right now because the harassment posts seem to greatly outnumber the posts calling this toxic shit out.

Supercorp is so far gone that dissent is basically buried beneath an avalanche of bullying, harassment, and hate.

I know Azie will never read this, but I just want to apologize to her. The fandom used to be better than this. Then toxicity became the norm and now it’s impossible to separate it from the part of the fandom that just wants to ship and have a good time.

But that fandom is dead, and in its place is this shambling monster.

When people ask me, “Why do you want to adopt teenagers?” I always answer, “Because you asked like that.”

I’m real over it. If I become a foster mom to a 17 year old kid and I get the privilege of the option to adopt them? You better believe I am legally making that kid mine.

“They’ll be a legal adult in no time, why spend the money to adopt? They’ll be aged out of the system.”

“They might be rebellious or smoke or do drugs or steal things! What if they won’t listen to you?”

Then I guess I’ll have to step up and do some fruxking parenting, Stanley.

All. Children. Are. Problem. Children. If you’re not prepared to deal with the fact that at some point, any child ever, whether you birthed them yourself or adopted them at any age, could become a problem? Then you are NOT ready to have children, and should really just step off and let the people who actually want to be parents live in peace with their kids.
