Sitting outside a local and quite well known tea shop, a familiar figure was seated out on the shaded patio. For him, this was the best spot to get tea and it never changed after all this time. Wearing informal wear, the color matching his fabled armor, he reached for his sash and placed money upon the table. By his side, his trusted tachi. Anyone could recognize him, especially with that legendary scar. “Besides..that might cause a stir..I really do not need that..retirement is suiting me quite well..”

The silent bodyguard of Wu, had returned for the time being.

Captain’s Log Final Chapter. (My Farewell to You All)

~So it’s taken the course of several days to really write this out properly since it was a bit difficult emotionally to write this out seeing as I’m retiring from the Koei Roleplay Community but alas it’s finally time to say goodbye but I want to state some things first.

First things first, I’ve been role playing going for just a little over fifteen years. I joined the Koei community way back in 2007 when I found a decent amount of people on YouTube doing the same thing. That’s when I decided to bring my all time favorite character Zhou Tai to life and begin a journey I have no regrets over. I studied all the history behind him, bought swords similar to his, wrote out my own stories and had that desire to build him into the best character I have ever role played as. I’ve been other characters like Fu Xi, Kenshin, Hanzo, and Dian Wei but none of them compared or had the effort put in like Zhou Tai.

Secondly this post is exclusively for all the wonderful, beautiful and amazing friends and people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing or role playing with. Everyday when I woke up, I looked forward to chatting, planning, and threading with you all because it just made my day so much better to see others with common interests bring their thoughts to their characters. Especially the OC’s I mean excuse my french but holy shit I couldn’t imagine all the time spent developing a unique personality to fit in with the Koei community. I learned so much as well from everyone on their styles, writing, and even personalities. Instead of spending days writing out unique dialogue for everyone I’m just going to mention you all below because for those I really don’t know that well, it’s only fair that I do this because I do not wish to leave everyone out.

And finally I just want to say, Zhou Tai  will never ever be truly gone from my life. I’ve spent a lot of time building in my opinion something great and there is no way I could ever tear down my own creation. Meaning there will one of these days be a time that I could bring him back for something small, maybe even do another role play on Discord or something. Tut certainly had a point. A long battle drawn out like that meant using more and more hands on deck to ensure Wu got the outcome they desired. Picking up the wine glass, Zhou Tai finished the wine inside in one gulp, letting the cool liquid cleanse his palate. It certainly was a stressful situation to say the least but there was good reasoning behind his actions. Looking up at Tut, he nodded a few times, before staring at the empty glass.

“It was necessary to do so to save as many lives as possible...I did not feel right leaving his side...but the strategy ended up paying off in the end..My instincts led me to believe that there were too many soldiers around to let anything happen to lord Sun Quan...although I am his bodyguard...I must save anyone I can...we cannot afford to lose prized generals in battle...”

without   another   word  ,  she’s   already   securing   the   end   of   the   fabric   ,   weaving   the   remainder   of     it   intricately   about   his   wound   before   tying   off   the   end.   one   OBSTACLE   down  ,   numerous   more   to   go   —   hopefully  ,   their   luck   wasn’t   spent   just   yet.   ❛   there   we   go   ,  at   least   that      should   do   it   some   good.   ❜   until   they   managed   to   encounter   their   allies   again   at   least   ,   where   there   would   be   more   SUFFICIENT   medical   assistance.   she’s   just   praying   that   it   doesn’t   get   infected   in   the   meantime.   ❛   don’t   worry   about   my   shoulder   ,  it’s   just   a   scratch.   besides   ,   it’s   stopped   bleeding   now.   ❜   there’s   a   reassuring   smile   playing   about   her   lips   ,   hoping   that   he   won’t   press   the   matter   too   much   —   after   all   ,   their   next   priority   is   to   make   their   way   back   ,  no   matter   how   arduous   it   might   be.

Although her wound wasn’t as serious as his own, it did look as if it needed some medical attention. Holding his hand against the secured bandages, Zhou Tai rose to his feet, giving a simple nod towards Claire. “Right then...perhaps now we should sta...” his sentence was interrupted, a loud crashing sound mixed in with trees snapping echoed right behind them, a cloud of dust and debris filled the starry sky. Peaceful moments never really lasted in this world for long. “Run..this doesn’t look too good.”

Grabbing a hold of his Tachi, there was hope that this new challenge would not bring out dangerous consequences. Adrenaline filled his veins as he began moving swiftly towards the location of the noise. This would surely attract the attention of anyone in the area, hopefully allies and not enemies. Once Zhou Tai reached the area behind the houses, he placed his back against the wall just to peek around the corner. A large creature was starting to come into view from the shadow it cast in the dust.

“Is that...?”

there’s   a   tentativeness   in   the   way   that   she   searches   ,   almost   like   she’s   DUBIOUS   about   disturbing  the   personal   possessions   of   the   interior   (   regardless   of   them   being   in   such   a   state   anyway   ) .   to   think   that   this   had   once   been   ,   was  someone’s   home   ,   only   to   be   trashed   && unnecessarily   ruined   was   truly   disheartening   —   which   is   why   she   purposely   leaves   a   few   of   the   bandages   behind   ,   should   the   occupants   return.   at   least   then   ,   they’d   have   SOMETHING   left.   with   her   arms   soon   bundled   with   supplies   ,  her   next   port   of   call   is   back   outside  ,  feeling   relieved   that   perhaps   luck   was   now   on   their   side.   at   least   there   was   enough   bandages   for   the   other   ,   even   if   she   had   to   go   without   a   few.   ❛   alright   ,  let’s   get   you   patched   up.   the   bleeding   seems   to   have   stopped   ,   but   that   doesn’t   mean   that   we   should   just   leave   it.   ❜

Now came the challenging part of not aggravating the wound too much. With what little daylight they had left, it would have to be fast. Reaching up, he took some of the bandages from her and quickly unraveled them. Taking one of the ends, he reached around and placed it upon his back, grimacing in pain from tightening his core a bit too much. Holding it in place, he slowly began to wrap the bandage slowly around his torso until it reached the point where his hand was.

“Right...I don’t normally do this..but if you wouldn’t mind finishing the job...make sure it is tight...” he asked in a polite tone. Normally, patching his own wounds would be a cake walk but in this situation it was rather difficult with how deep the gash was. Looking forward, sable optics scanned the area for any suspicious activity, things had gotten awfully quiet since they have arrived. “Once this is done...you should go rest up after I help patch your own wound...resting is key here..”
