Okay, can I just ramble about this for a moment? Because I feel like this teeny little snippet of a scene is SO important.

Look how gentle Natasha is with Clint’s kid. She’s an assassin who was trained to care about nothing but her mission. I very much doubt she spent much time drawing pictures when she was a kid, and she probably would’ve been scolded or dismissed if she’d tried to show them to people.

And somehow, she’s broken through all that cold indifference she was supposed to have. She breaks her attention away from what’s going on to acknowledge Lila (I think it’s Lila?) and then she PRAISES her for it, and so sweetly too. 

I’m probably making way too much of a big deal out of this, but I think it’s incredible how much she managed to grow as a person, and move away from what the Red Room made her into, even in the profession she maintains. Natasha is so damn strong.

pls don’t ever forget that rhodey is active duty military.  he’s the only avenger that is. that means he’s been operating under most of the restrictions in the sokovia accords this whole time.  he doesn’t get to go on a mission unless he’s given a green light to do so. he has a higher degree of accountability and punishment than the rest of the avengers.  he’s the military’s superhero. has been since IM2.
