Ayla: *chocked up* Why did you release the book then? Isn’t this what you wanted? To destroy my life and embarrass me? Break up my marriage?
Lilith chuckles. As if she cared about any of those things.
Lilith: That would have happened without me, darling. This was for me, get it off my chest. Me telling you personally is something a person wanting to fix things does. I want this shit over with.
Lilith stands, knowing that sitting down was the wrong decision. She faces Ayla, now silent.
Lilith: *sarcastic* I think you need more therapy, this spoiled rich kid entitlement thing is getting old. Find me if you ever really want to talk.
Lilith turns and leaves. Ayla, at a loss of words slumps back in the chair. That couldn’t have gone any worse. A server approaches a few moments later.
Server: No rush, but we are closing soon. Can I get anything for you before we close the kitchen and bar.
Ayla struggles to find any words to say.
Server: I’ll just leave you for a few moments and come back.
Ayla simply nods and the server walks off. Ayla puts her head down, holding back sobs. She wasn’t really like her parents, right?
