Please help my friend’s dog get emergency surgery or else he will have to be put down

I’ll add some context that’s in the gfm post itself. One of my best friends needs help raising money for his family’s dog so he can receive surgery. His parents just lost their house and are about to become homeless along with their two children (both minors), so any money they are saving has to go into finding a place to live, therefore not being able to fund the surgery themselves. Their options are to pay the $8000 or to put him down, which is the last thing they need right now as battler is extremely important to them all, especially the kids.
