I drew Tsuchiya Kaho fanart. Did she appear for only two chapters in the manga and was nonexistent in the anime? Yes. Do I love her anyway? Hell yeah.
I drew this fanart for @gwendeeagain. Her fic Siri Is My Cat Gay is probably my favorite fic out of all the Karushuu week fics. (And trust me, I’ve read a lot of them.) I’ve re-read that fic like 5 times. Gakushuu and Karma are cats, and they’re adorable. Also mild Karahou. You know I can’t resist a moment to promote the KARAHOU AGENDA.

Therapy for the Asano Family
So I’ve noticed a couple fanfics lately try to explore the Asano Family dynamic with much needed therapy, but as someone who has a lot of experience with therapy, I wanted to point out some of the mistakes I’ve seen and express my opinion on it.
1. Confrontational
Therapists aren’t confrontational. If say, Gakushuu lies to his therapist, his therapist isn’t going to outright tell him, “You’re lying.”
The relationship between client and therapist is built on trust. If Gakushuu chooses to lie, then he lies. The therapist may note that Gakushuu seems unwilling to talk about it at the moment and move on to another topic. Perhaps making a note to bring it back again. Don’t have overtly agressive therapists that go “You need to tell me!” “Are you really telling me the truth?” Because that’s just not how therapy works.
2. The need for a ‘special’ therapist.
I’ll just come out and say it. Most therapists wouldn’t even be phased by the Asano dynamic. Therapists have seen a lot. They aren’t going to think Gakuhou is the devil or be terrified of him. Yes, he’s scary, but therapists have been trained to deal with scary people. Gakushuu is also...unique, but he doesn’t need an ‘unusual’ therapist. He needs a normal therapist, the kind everyone else has.
3. The name
This is just a thought I had, but I don’t think the characters would see their therapist as a person. I personally tend to think of my therapist as “My Therapist.” I don’t call her by her name. For my first 5 therapy sessions I literally didn’t even know her name. She was just “The Therapist” in my head. I definitely think people like Gakushuu and Gakuhou would tend to detach themselves from their therapist’s identity as a person too.
4. Stigma.
Yeah, this is a huge one. There is stigma to going to therapy, especially with the way Gakushuu and Gakuhou see themselves as all powerful and successful. It’s going to take a long time for them to openly admit they go to therapy, and I doubt they’d tell many people about it.
So these are just some thoughts I had, I don’t mean to attack anyone who has done these things, because therapy is strange and can be interpreted and written in many different ways, this is just how I personally would handle this topic. :)
