“Are you gonna stop staring at me anytime soon?”
“It’s not going to be my fault if our professor scolds us for simply talking.”
“You mean your professor?”
Groaning, you returned to listening to your lovely professor. It wasn’t that surprising that he was laid-back but sensitive. Even if you’re prone to get caught in a class by simply opening your mouth, you still consider him since he teaches well and is very casual.
You’ve been spending time going to college with Chan right beside you. Your parents, handlers of an undercover business, found out that an assassin has been following you around the campus. Rumor has it that it was a ‘student’ who is the new leader of a group of protestors against your parents’ schemes. You were never involved in their work, but you’re a possible target. When your parents introduced you to Chan, you weren’t that pleased. You thought he was just a person who’ll strictly be on work mode with you.
But he was more than that, surprisingly.
He was sweet and has been very gentle and supportive to you. He wasn’t like the bodyguards in movies who control the lives of who’re they protecting. Even if Chan promised your protection from any harm, he didn’t stop you from doing what you wanted. You were able to go out with your friends, converse freely with your classmates and professors, and he also joined you in your daily studying at the library.
You discovered from Changbin, a colleague of Chan, that he’s usually not an affectionate person. He even added that it was weird to see how Chan behaves around you. But why does he treat you like a playful and clingy friend? What made him break the glass and let the shards fall for a risk like this?
You forget all of the noise from your classmates’ voices for recitation as you glance back at the man beside you. What’s with the two of you? What type of relationship do you even have? Acquaintances? Best friends? It’s all a blur for you unexpectedly.
“Do you want some ice cream later? Let’s buy at the cafeteria after this.”
You’ll follow where things go for now while there’s no threat getting in the way of both of you. You never complained about what you have anyways.
“Yeah, sure. I would love that.”
