#this does however WRECK the headcanon that he generates wifi signal himself as a latent psychic power    #so i’m kind of pissed   

Maybe his psychic powers are just down? Perhaps the BMoL have some kind of egg or something that can grant him 4G as a backup power.

(Or he could try turning himself off and back on again, but that seems like a drastic solution)                                                                                                   

He literally did that like 4 episodes ago.

Maybe he didn’t load up again properly after Billie did a soft reboot.

what if the cosmic consequence to billie dying and the deal being broken is sam forevermore unable to activate his hotspot

His hair wifi is powered by salad. It’s lunch time, he’s hungry and needs to refuel so he has to use the restaurant’s wifi until his food is delivered.
