Hello! I'd love to podfic your fic "how to lose a wizard in in 10 days" and just wanted to check that would be okay with you? I noticed you have a blanket permission statement but wished to ask the question either way ☺️❤️

Hi!

Yes! As long as no profit is being made and the podfic isn’t monetized in any way, I’d love that! Please send me a link when it’s live so I can listen and share. ☺️

HP rants continue:

Severus Snape didn’t love Lily Potter.

At the foundation of love is respect. Snape had none for Lily’s decision to marry James or have Harry. He only cared about saving her life, not about the lives of her family. Do you think she would have thanked him if he’d succeeded?

And then he spent six years verbally abusing the child she died trying to protect.

This is not love. It’s obsession and it shouldn’t be lauded.

“I just...I need you to understand," muttered Draco hesitantly, pulling in a deep breath. And then he began. "I'm never going to be a man who tells you how lucky I am to have you, even though I know I am. I'm never going to be a man who tells you that you're beautiful everyday, even though you are. And I'm never going to be a man who tells you I love you everyday, even though I do. And I really do, Granger."

"I know you do," she said. "I know.”

Hi, I was just wondering if you had a policy about hand binding your fics for personal use or gifts for friends? <3

Hello! My work is available for bookbinding for personal use or gifts for friends! As long as no money is changing hands for anything other than the actual cost of materials or shipping, I allow it. I am currently updating my full policy for bookbinding and it will soon be included in the pinned post at the top of my profile if you have any further questions or want to know about my other specific bookbinding policies. Thanks for asking!

Sirius: Damn, Moony, are you secretly cool? Remus: Well, poker is just math, so I guess it depends on if you consider the mathematician, Carl Friedrich Gauss, cool. Sirius: I do not.

Now complete!

How to Lose a Wizard in 10 Days

Hermione will do anything to prove to her boss at Witch Weekly that she's ready to take on more serious topics, including dating a man just to drive him away for the sake of her next column, How to Lose a Wizard in 10 Days. But pushing Draco Malfoy away proves to be a challenging task, perhaps because he's got ten days to make her fall in love with him.

A Dramione RomCom inspired by How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

One of the best tips for writing descriptions of pain is actually a snippet I remember from a story where a character is given a host of colored pencils and asked to draw an egg.

The character says that there’s no white pencil.  But you don’t need a white pencil to draw a white egg.  We already know the egg is white.  What we need to draw is the luminance of the yellow lamp and the reflection of the blue cloth and the shadows and the shading.

We know a broken bone hurts.  We know a knife wound hurts.  We know grief hurts.  Show us what else it does.

You don’t need to describe the character in pain.  You need to describe how the pain affects the character - how they’re unable to move, how they’re sweating, how they’re cold, how their muscles ache and their fingers tremble and their eyes prickle.

Draw around the egg.  Write around the pain.  And we will all be able to see the finished product.
