You know how sometimes a fandom will look at a canon plain/unattractive character and will call them goodlooking and only refer to them as goodlooking? I believe that Shang Qinghua is the complete opposite of this and the fandom has collectively agreed that he is average looking despite him being canonically a handsome guy with a sleazy aura. Like guys, he is canonically handsome stop doing him dirty like this lmao

I am having. scumplane thoughts.
- Shen Jiu as Airplane’s favourite character, fun to write, fun to torment
- Shen Jiu as the character he daydreams about when he has the time, developing an elaborate backstory that never gets written
- Shang Qinghua who sees Shen Jiu, the character he created to suffer and feels guilt
- Shang Qinghua who sees his cold expression, just like the king he serves who is fated to kill him
- Shen Jiu who sees guilt from his shidi that he had only seen from Yue Qingyuan before
- Shen Jiu who sees Shang Qinghua and sees what they have in common, both having to fight for their positions in a way those born to privilege do not
- Shen Jiu who notices when Shang Qinghua has unexplained injuries and can tell when he uses excuses because he’s done the same
- Shang Qinghua who expected Shen Qingqiu would turn on him in an instant if he learnt of his demonic connections, being surprised when he helps him cover them up instead
- Shen Jiu who doesn’t know exactly why he helped Shang Qinghua except that some part of him liked seeing him beg so pitifully for mercy
- Shang Qinghua who finally sees a way to change the plot he was so sure was inevitable
