if you really wanna normalize mental illness then youre going to need to be normal about people asking for reality checks, or saying to not reality check them, or people talking about their hallucinations (<- even if their hallucinations are silly, or if they know they're "just hallucinations", or if their hallucinations make them disruptive, or if their hallucinations make them mean), or people with schizophrenia, or people without schizophrenia who still have hallucinations, or people with medication induced hallucinations, or people with withdrawal induced hallucinations.
genuinely i do not care how "progressive" you think you are with mental illness. if you cannot accept that sometimes people will have hallucinations that affect how they see other people, themselves, and the world around them then you are not fucking progressive. you are literally just ableist.
i really shouldnt have to say this, but if your idea of normalizing mental illness doesnt include people who are open about their hallucinations then you dont want to normalize mental illness. you just want to normalize YOUR mental illness.

SO A little while ago I became quite frustrated with how there’s no free and/or server-free “Wiki” style encyclopedia template out there (that I could find), so I went and made my own. Feel free to copy, modify, and improve upon as you please for all your worldbuilding, research, and other writing needs! No credit necessary. Notes:
- You can link multiple documents together with the same template using insert bookmark / links. With the right sharing settings for all pages, you can make your own little self-hosted knowledge base.

story time
when i was in college i blew a guy that went to BYU. he felt so much religious guilt about it that he immediately when to his bishop to repent. his bishop reported him to the honor code office and he was suspended from BYU for a year, with only 1 semester left.
bishop also told him not to speak to me anymore so he sent me a text telling me goodbye, apologizing and said he wished things were different (basically implying he wished i was mormon so we could date Imao) and he said "i hope my future wife is as good at that as you are."
i barely knew the guy tbh but we kind of maintained a loose friendship. he'd give me updates about the situation every now and then. he finally finished his degree, and i didn't hear from him for a few years.
i think maybe 4 years after that he reached out and told me that situation was the catalyst for him leaving the church and now endearingly refers to it as "the blowjob that saved his life"
