Clean UI 1/3 Beta Release!

It’s finally HERE!

So what is this you wonder? It is a first third of clean UI release, currently in beta testing phase. What does it include? Well, here’s the list: - Completed Game Intro Loading Screen (separate download) - Complete Main Menu - Complete Save Loading Screen - Complete Buy mode (without blueprints) - Complete Build mode (without blueprints) - Most of live mode in progress (without most of EP content) That’s 30% of it complete already. Here’s some images of it:

Issues with this build: - going into CAST in build/buy gets rid of half camera control background graphic - career tab days off are colored light blue and are thus barely readable These are two issues that don’t seem to be easily fixable but for final release I’ll try my best.

Now onto downloads!

- Clean UI Main download - HERE - Clean UI Game Loading Screen - HERE (no need to download if you already got it from here) - Clean UI compatible Gamefreak’s Loading Screen Overhaul - HERE (required if you use Gamefreak’s Loading Screen Overhaul!!!)

Some final words.

Thank you everyone who follows this project. I hope this is enough for now, there’s more to come later, but I will be taking a break from this project for a bit. Next module is CAS and edit town/tutorial/family management. All of my downloads have also been migrated to google drive, because drop box banned me for some reason. All links on this blog work once again. I also have a Ko-Fi page here that is open for donations. If you want and can please consider donating. Thank you once again.

Lot Population Mod (Early Access)

Hi! I put up a mod that automatically pre-populates lots with Sims, adds way more visitors and adds walkbys like in TS2 and TS4.

It's currently on Patreon early access for 15 days if you'd like to check it out.

As a tester of this mod. Must say I love having it in my game. It makes visiting the actual world and zooming around it fun as lots of sims pass by and do stuff, drive in their vehicles or ride their bikes, which makes the town feel alive as never before. And those sims that walk by, they also visit lots that are nearby them, but the mod also spawns sims at lots. This way you bring your sim to lots full of sims and depending on the time of day and weather type, sims will also visit specific lots. So if your sim went to a beach during winter, you wouldn’t see much sims, but during summer time, there can be a 15 of sims visiting just the beach alone. I’ve had a lot of fun seeing parks abandoned during rain, or having sims do group picnics during a sunny autumn day.

Here’s a couple of window edits. The first allows roof intersection so when you’re deleting half of your house trying to build a roof at least you know it’s not the windows…  The second is an optional fix for the snow inside the house.

This was (one of) my (many) pet peeve(s) with the build system in Sims 2. Thanks for this <3

Sims 1 Alternative UI

Once upon a time I had some fun editing sims 1 UI files And it turned out that it was quite easy to do so, but I stopped half way. Two weeks ago I took upon myself to try and complete it and I did! So here it is, I’m posting it here for all of you people that still play this awesome game to use.

You can get it here: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/3116893/ Installation is very easy. Just open the downloaded .zip file, then place UIGraphics folder from it to your game install directory. Then, in the zip file, choose the resolution that you play your game in, and again, place UIGraphics folder from the zip into your game install directory. There are slight aretefacts with the UI that cannot be ironed out sadly which is a darker blue tone in relationship panel, and some icons having darker background, but most of the UI elements have been changed, and these are just minor oddities that you’ll barely notice during regular gameplay.

I wish I could stop starting more projects

So earlier today I posted a photo of a lamp that I’ve been working on. Well that’s actually a part of a bigger project that I decided to do calm myself down because I’ve been stressed lately. And I still don’t know how to call the set but, it’s soviet inspired, albeit modernized.

This is only one third of the set, as there’s more items coming but I wanted to share my progress before the end of the week.

A lot of you were asking me about this, I managed to stop the shadows from fading out as you get closer to the ground in TS3, and in addition make them fade out at longer distances.

Ignore the low res shadows.

There's still some work to do but I'm positive I'll be able to release it as an ASI mod eventually!

Supporting me on Patreon and Plans

Hi!

As some of you know, I have a Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/lazyduchess

I meant it as a way to simply donate to me on a monthly basis, but I've realized it wasn't completely fair and I'd like to give something back to my patrons and an incentive for people to join if they're financially able to.

From now on, I will start posting progress on my WIP, Experimental or "Secret" projects for my Patrons there and interact with the comments on those posts.

If you'd like to know what my Experimental TS3 Core Mod I'm working on is all about and would like to stay fully up to date, I've already made a Patreon post detailing it.

This doesn't mean that I will stop posting about WIPs on Tumblr, I will simply give a more detailed and frequent behind the scenes on my Patreon.

There are mods that I keep mostly a secret due to their nature, such as Story Progression before the Beta or my Core Mod. Those are the kinds of mods that Patrons will know about before everyone else.

Feedback is appreciated, so feel free to let me know what you think!

[TS3] Editing Face Presets/Templates (WIP)

So @simbouquet, @justmiha97 and I have been playing around with the TS3 face models and templates lately, which made us realize that we could modify the CAS presets and see the changes in-game and even create completely new ones.

So I got to work, and made a little program that can create and modify TS3 face templates:

It's still a WIP in pretty rough shape, in the future I would like to integrate the S3PI libraries into it to make it a lot easier and friendlier to use, but it's usable, and I was able to create completely new presets with it!

Download

If you would like to play around with the tool, it has a a Github page.

You can find the latest beta version under Releases (Expand Assets and download the FacePresetEditor.zip), and a Tutorial on the Wiki.

Sims 3 ReFace Update

My project to reconstruct base sims 3 faces is now getting an official name, ReFace. I’ve had setbacks with it for a while, but now I’m back on it, I’ve finished all female faces, children and toddlers. All I have left is male faces which should be finished soon. Teenager:

Elder:

Edit: Sneak peek of new toddler face. I have to fix the neck seam.

Unveiling the project

While Clean UI is on a slight hiatus because I need to collect more motivation, I decided to do something quick and fun, and it turns out that it’s very doable. I’m changing up sims 3 base face mesh topology in attempt to get rid of fudge pudge and make sims look more realistic. The project also comes with a skin blend I’ve been working on and attempt at making a 2k version of all default game body hair. Here’s comparison of new default female adult and young adult faces (which were changed) to old original sims 3 teenager face (that I haven’t yet changed):

All sliders, animations and morphs work properly (even custom ones), but face templates look slightly off because they were made with EA’s base mesh in mind. I will probably have to change them too in order to complete this modification.
