Synopsis: Three days a week, two teenage hearts, one boy to tutor and several missing assignments. If there’s one thing you’ve learned since you started tutoring the one and only park jisung, it’s that’s it’s not just his grades that are slipping

A/N: i’ve been so excited to release this teaser! i’ve been working on this fic for a little over a month now and to finally be able to share a piece of it is so exciting!

“Are you Jisung?” You asked. Considering he was the only student who had their skateboard resting against the desk he had claimed as his own, and the only one who had a fringe long enough to act as a barrier between him and the outside world, you could only assume you had the right person. However, he didn’t respond to you. With furrowed brows, you repeated your question and yet again, no answer. You bent over, the covers of your books pressing into your chest. You were met with strands of his bangs in front of his partially closed eyes. Had it not been for the slight nodding of his head to a silent beat, you would’ve mistaken him for asleep. From this angle, you could see the dark cups of his headphones, playing a song that you couldn’t hear, no matter how hard you tried. After another failed attempt to get his attention, you knew why it may not be the best first impression, desperate times call for desperate measures. With one swift movement, you yanked his headphones from his head and undoubtedly a few of his hairs too. 

“What the fuck?” He exclaimed, looking up to you, an unfriendly scowl on his lips.You sighed, only pulling back the seat across from him. 

“I did call your name at least three times,” you said emotionlessly, sinking into the plush seat and placing your belongings on the table. 

“Whatever,” he said in annoyance, shaking his hair out of his eyes. In a desperate attempt to fix the impression, you held out your hand to him, inviting him for a handshake. 

“I’m Y/N, your English tutor,” you introduced, the best expression you could offer him was an awkward lopsided smile. To your unpleasant surprise, Jisung laughed in your face. The mean and sarcastic manner he did it dwindled your hope of helping him.

“Miss Barnes set you up to this, didn’t she?” He ran his tongue over the fronts of his molars, a possible habit you pondered. “You seem like a smart girl, so let me give you some advice,” Jisung watched you in amusement as you leaned closer to him, “you’re wasting your time. You want my opinion? Take this back to Miss Barnes and we will never have to deal with each other again,” he pushed the folder back towards you, a smug smile on his face. You, determined not to be discouraged by some boy who cared more about a piece of wood than his grades, slammed the folder back down to prove your point.

Mark smiled sadistically, pleased with your response. Disgust surged through you but you tried your best not to let it show. “Now tell me Y/N” he cooed, twirling the knife in his hand as if getting a feel for it, but you knew better, you had been in this position multiple times before and you knew what was coming and no matter how much you tried to brace yourself you were scared out of your mind and he knew it. “Who do you belong to?” He continued, the tip of the knife grazing your jawline as if gently caressing it, before he pressed it to your throat threateningly. 

“Answer my question, darling.” He gritted out, pressing the knife to your throat hard enough to draw blood. The taste of metal filled your senses and the world started to spin but you pushed it down. “Y-you.” You said weakly and he smiled again. He held out his hand “You know what to do.” You took a deep breath before pulling up the sleeve of your sweater, flinching as the cold air brushed against your scarred hand. Your eyes clamped shut of their own accord and you held your breath, knowing very well what was going to happen next. 

Mark took your arm in his hand, holding it fast. His slender fingers brushed over his name that had been carved into your skin. Even though your eyes were shut you could very well see the soft smile on his face. It was terrifying to be in love with Mark Lee with his mood swings and protectiveness and his tendences. You remember leaving his house once, trying to escape from the cage you were in, but he caught you. That was when this had started, the first night had been the worst. He had tied you to a chair and cut open your flesh, engraving his name into your arm permanently.

You had cried and yelled, squirming to get away from him but it had done you no good. You apologize over and over but he didn’t stop until the deed was done. You remembered fainting from blood loss, his face hovering over yours with a pleased smile on his lips. The image was burned into your memory. That night when you truly realised how unstable Mark actually was because before that night no matter what he did, he had never hurt you.

The tip of the knife traced over the words that were etched into your skin. Mark slowly dug the knife into your skin, your body feeling like it was on fire.  It felt like a thousand hot needles pierced your skin and you cried out in pain, your legs thrashing violently as if you were trying to stay afloat. Your throat was dry and you continued yelling, not entirely out of pain but more so as if you were hoping someone would hear you and save you. The wound that had barely healed was split open once again, blood flowing freely out of it. 

“Shush” He hushed you softly, caressing your face with his bloodstained hand. The knife had been thrown across the room carelessly and he was now cleaning your wound carefully. He kissed the cut softly causing your blood to stain his lips. “You belong to me Y/N L/N.” He said, pressing his lips to yours.  “You’re mine.”
