Victoria had not thought of her old coven in so long. Hilda’s coven. The one Anne had helped create and shape. The redhead’s eyes flared wide, and her mouth tightened into a thin crimson line. “You have no idea how i felt.” she snapped back suddenly, her anger palpable in the air around them. “You had no idea what it was like to watch you and your coven rip my sister apart. I escaped because my gift made me do it. Do you know how long i walled in guilt for?, how often i remembered Anne and remembered how powerless i was to stop you from killing her?…”Victoria was snarling now, almost vibrating with anger. “-now you stand there and have the nerve to tell me that random acts of violence against other covens is wrong.” she barked a sharp laugh at him “-What did my coven and i do Marcus, hmm?….when you came to kill us and burn our bodies what was our crime other than existing?”
Image
“I don’t. I can only feel the bonds, but nothing more.” Marcus told her. “I didn’t vote in favor of your coven’s destruction. But is was my vote against Caius and Aro, so I lost. The only way I can ever get a vote to go my way is when I can get Aro on my side is if I convince him, and I can’t when he wants an ability. And right now he wants many of the Cullens to join us, so if you go after them and kill one of the Cullens Aro wants or is interested in, then you will die. And I’m not trying to threaten you, I just know my brother very well.” He said. “Aro and Caius don’t need a reason to kill. You want to know what my wife did to get killed? Nothing, we both wanted to leave the coven, but Aro knew my ability was too important to lose. So he killed her, then bond me to the coven, and left me for three thousand years in a depressed and suicidal state.”

Victorias face was stoic, she was still as a statue, no movement save the wind blowing through her hair. “So Bella has asked you to kill me then?” she mused, a chuckle soon escaping her. “I understand that…she never was one for bravery, despite what she often harps on about.” Victoria eyed the leader carefully, her own red eyes meeting his. “It’s no secret that the Volturi don’t like the Cullens much…Aro in particular.” She cocked her head “-Why the sudden love for them?…and don’t tell me it is because they are vampires like you and I…because we both know they aren’t.” She arched an eyebrow at him.
“Not murder you, but do something about you. Which I said I would talk to you since I can’t do anything without a law being broken. And I would like to think the best of you Victoria. That this second chance wouldn’t be one filled with revenge and death. You have a second chance to be alive with your mate, and there is a chance your sister will also return. You have a chance of being happy again. With no Volturi interference.” Marcus explained to the young red head. “I have never hated the Cullens, I have voted in favor of them every time I had to.” He told her. “I know what it feels like to lose the one you love the most, I feel the bonds between people, so I don’t like covens and families being torn apart. I know you know how it felt when the Volturi came, and killed your coven to get Heidi.”

Victoria stayed quiet, but those eyes were glittering eerily. A smile followed. They hadn’t told him, or at least the other members she had met with had not made the full extent of their intentions clear to the third Volturi leader. Victoria nodded then, once to show him she understood. “Of course Marcus…i’m sure all vampires, even your own coven will respect the Forks laws-” her eyes flashed ominously “-as they should do.”

“My coven respects the orders that Aro, Caius, and I give them. And those who have broken the rules, only did it because they didn’t know of the laws. However, I know you have been informed of them. This is a time of peace Victoria. I know how revenge sounds nice, but it’s not worth. You think i might not know what it’s like to want it. But I’ve suffered longer than you have. My mate was killed by my brother, and he kept it from me for three thousand years. I was left i a depressed and suicidal state that whole time. But do I want to end his life and happiness, no.” He said. “I know Isabella wants me to kill you, but I’ve told her I can’t without killing on the returnees. However, if you hurt the Cullens at all, then I will.”

👑     Aro had been informed of those strange ressurrections, yet, he was still hoping for some information on Didyme, his sister. At the sight of his brother-in-law, Aro smiled softly, furrowing his brow in confusion towards his not so depressed face. It had been a long time since he last saw Marcus like that.   - “I just arrived! Actually, I intended on going unnoticed for a while… As it seems, I failed greatly at that. You look quite nice, brother… May I ask what happened?” -   the ancient vampire layed back on the bench, crossing his legs slowly. A few taps on the place to his side, offering the seat to the other.     👑

Marcus didn’t know how he would be around Aro for a little while, he has gotten over the initial anger that came after Didyme’s return. He had found out that it was Aro who killed his wife, and sent him into a three thousand year long depression. But in a time like this the Volturi leaders didn’t need to be fighting over something that happened so long ago. “Well in this time going unnoticed wouldn’t be good when every species is on the verge of war.” Marcus explained before he sat down. “Well I don’t know if word has gotten back to Volterra, but Didyme has come back from the dead.”

👑     It was amazing how vampires seemed to get along pretty well with those pretty little creatures that were human-beings. The way that coven   – the Cullen –   lived, hidding in daylight, as if they were humans, amazed the master vampire.   he   needed   to try.   And there he was, reading a local fairytail sat in a bench, trying to look as human as he could.   - “Don’t think I didn’t notice you there, lovely! I can feel your eyes over me…” -   he said in a soft voice, to the other. His eyes hadn’t, however, left the pages of the book he was holding for a second.     👑
Marcus had been enjoying his time in Forks, it had been a long time since the ancient leader could be out in the public so much. So he enjoyed every second of it that he could. He was on his usually daily stroll when he noticed his brother sitting on a bench. He was surprised that no on informed him on Aro’s arrival. “I’m sorry brother. I was just surprised to see you here since no one told me that you were coming this soon.” He smiled at Aro, since Didyme’s recent return Marcus was no longer sad and depressed.

Victoria smiled sweetly “That’s not how i remember the conversation between the Volturi and i after the last Army rose up.” Victoria bowed her head slightly though, glancing up at him through cascades of red curls “-but i understand Your Grace.”
“The last army you rose up was not informed to us until after you were already dead. And if it was you would’ve died sooner since you broke a law. Just know that if you cause any trouble for any vampire here, or don’t listen to the laws that the packs and Cullens put in place your resurrection will be short.”

The red head stiffened but said nothing for a long time. “-just encase we need to fight…you never know.” she smirked dangerous “-i don’t trust those overgrown puppies.”
“We do not allow another vampires to raise up an army for fighting, if this leads to a way, then I can promise you the Volturi are capable enough to take care of it.”

“I didn’t come back from the dead to fail a second time. I need vampires willing to fight…Is that you”?

Marcus overheard the conversation that Victoria was having, and quietly snuck over to her. “Willing to fight what?” The ancient leader asked.

“I’m happy for you.” Carlisle told him honestly, smiling. Out of the three at the heart of the Volturi, Marcus had always been the one that Carlisle had found the most reasonable, had troubled him the least. His smile faltered slightly at the mention of Bree. “That’s correct. It’s good for her to get a second chance at life.” He cleared is throat redundantly. “How is Didyme settling in?”
Image
“It is. People may question why I allow the resurrected to have a second chance, but I want the vampires to trust the Volturi more, especially in a time like this. This will help heal some families who lost someone they love.” Marcus knew how much Didyme’s returned had helped him. Marcus no longer wanted to die, he felt joy again. “She’s settling in fine. I know the time change is hard. And I don’t know how she’ll feel when Aro arrives.”

FEEDING TIME.” rafaela announced , manicured hand in a death grip around a human’s collared shirt. she was rough , throwing the crying blood bag onto the bag in front of her master. “now , don’t worry. i went to all lengths to make sure this darling had no connection in FORKS - seems like seattle is the right place to look for orphans.”
( @marcvsvolturi )
Marcus was sitting at his desk writing in his journal, like he did most of his days. He sighed when Rafaela came in. “I’m fine Rafaela, I fed a few days ago.” The leader said. “But thank you for being so consideration. You can either feed or give it to one of the other guards out there.”

MARCUS ! a familiar voice, a familiar scent that simply made her want to R U N again, she couldn’t go back. she wouldn’t. “ — i am NOT a doll, not a porcelain PRINCESS for you to lock away in a tower !” she hissed, her arm wrapped in his hand. she was NOT pleased with his words, they weren’t things she wanted to hear. “do not S P E A K to me of that place marcus, you have no idea.” she shook her head as she pulled her arm free. “i couldn’t care less about NOTIFYING anyone i needed to leave.”

“I did not say you were a doll Athenodora. Just a foolish girl. Not because you are no longer in the tower, but because you ran away. We do not need a reason for Aro and Caius to cause issues in this town. And Caius’ mood will not be great when he realizes you are gone.” Marcus said calmly. “Well I will send a letter to Volterra telling everyone that you are here safe, and that you deserve a vacation, and will be ‘watched’ by me. All that means is you can stay here and do what you want, just make sure you come home at least once a day.”

“I suppose it has been.” Carlisle nodded in agreement. “I believe that congratulations are in order. I hear that Didyme has returned, although I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting her.”
“Thank you Carlisle. I am seriously blessed.” He replied with a smile. Having Didyme back in his life brought him out of his depressed state. “I should also give you congratulations since that little vampire, Bree, that’s her name right? Has also returned.”

& she ran ! oh boy did she run. the FIRST chance she got, the volturi wife shot out like a bullet from the gun, with corin away from the T O W E R she was locked in, it made it easy to escape. overpower the guards & taking off to the only FAMILIAR place she knew. once reaching the small down, she stayed low hidden in the FOREST not looking for food, but rather watching the towns folk, curiously, so little had CHANGED since she was last out of the tower, so so so much had changed from what she remember in her years before the tower. but it was I N V I T I N G. stepping out from the shrubbery the queen like figure, still hooded in that terrible black robe moved towards the people, glanced around her, her eyes a darker shade of red, she hadn’t fed since the day before last. “ — just BLEND in, athendora.” she spoke softly, barely a whisper to her own ears.

Marcus recognized the scent of a familiar vampire. One that he didn’t believe was suppose to leave Volterra since he didn’t get a letter about her arrival. Marcus quickly ran over to the girl. And chuckled lightly when saw Athenodora trying to blend in with the group of people. He gracefully went over to Caius’s wife, and gently pulled her off to the side. “Now Athenodora what a lovely surprise? Do you know how foolish it is for you to leave Volterra without alerting anyone of your departure.”
