Follow up vet visit! Roma has improved (mainly). With fur growing back already and energy increased. Downside since yesterday she’s now peeing for England and drinking way too much. Bloods retook and will find out results Monday. Her heart rate was also a little high too and she’s lost more weight (now 23.4kg).
She did however hear a box full of 4 week old puppies and was so desperate to get to them she started crying to them (and they cried back 😭). She was very good and didn’t react once in the busy practice!
So glad I trusted my gut and chose to get bloods done!
January: bed rest
February: got diagnosed with hip dysplasia and food allergies
March: started hydrotherapy
April: met up with a friend
May: briefly got some chickens
June: did our first mantrailing session
July: celebrated her 5th gotcha day
August: celebrated Jak’s 11th birthday
September: did bikejoring
October: did two obedience competitions and placed!
November: leg started playing up so on bed rest
December: diagnosed with potential hypothyroidism (leg still playing up)
So Roma’s been diagnosed with potential hypothyroidism last Wednesday 8th December and is on a trail medication for 30 days.
Her front right wrist has flared up again and does not want to back down. Even with meds and rest and really short walks.
And I don’t know where this is going tbh. Her medical problems are mounting up with:
- hypothyroidism
- hip dysplasia
- arthritis in front wrist due to old injury
- Environmental allergies
- food allergies
- her left wrist has too much movement making it turn out more than it should
It’s just like, what else can she get? She’s always lethargic and I don’t know if it’s from the pain or the hypothyroidism. She’s started grumbling at me when she’s sleeping which she never did before (obviously I leave her alone).
I’m scared that I’m loosing her. And I don’t know what to do.
