hey yall i turned 26 and my partner treated me to the best three days of me life and i tried out masculine oriented language for a while and decided it was Fun but not for me in a Real Way if you know what i mean. we have four green tomatoes, our first squash, and about 20 marigold flowers about to bloom in our garden. i quit my (increasingly capitalistic) job and am about to start looking for gig based work again (i found out i’d rather die than work 40 hours a week for a Corporation). our cats still don’t get along but it’s definitely getting better. still cooking all the time, most intense thing we made recently was faux lobster ravioli from scratch. best thing might have been tonight - spicy beet “tuna” poke bowl. i hope you all are well and taking care of yourselves!!

• breakfast tacos
• modded a whole foods tempeh blt with lettuce from our garden (!!!) and avocados with homemade zucchini fries & ranch
• from the plum bistro cookbook - homemade spinach fettucini noodles with a vegan cream sauce and king oyster mushrooms and a side of charred brussels. not pictured: homemade strawb&blueberry shortcake
• sweet potate fries and a veggie burg on homemade buns and lettuce from our garden
• homemade flatbreads with lemon ricotta spread and brussels
• quiche cups!!
• our veggie take on my partner’s dad’s hello fresh porkchop meal — made mashed purple potatoes and a demiglace over a veggie pattie and roasted veggies
• homemade everything bagels !!!!!

i dont really talk about Work on here but i manage a pretty busy primary care practice and with this covid stuff, especially how its been hitting seattle, the past few weeks have just been completely bizarre. had an absolute mental breakdown on monday and am slowly coming back to myself. my heart goes out to all the freelancers and service workwes, this is hitting you all hard and the government doesn’t give a shit about hourly workers. vote if you haven’t, reach out to your community, put yourself first. work can wait.
