Atlas looked down at the surface of the table, which had now been covered with water before eyeing the other with a stone cold expression. “Drown me all you like. It’s pointless. Worry not, water boy.” Before standing up, he pointed his finger at the water, directing it all back into the cup. “Watch yourself next time. You wouldn’t want a human knowing your secrets. the moment he called her beautiful the mermaid felt even more shy. immediately she wondered if he was the type to call every woman beautiful out of kindness. when he offered her his card though and a job amaya couldn’t help but chuckle a little. “if i didn’t have my own pastry cafe chain to run, i would call to work here.” she said letting out a soft chuckle. the card he gave her, she put it in her wallet along with the other cards she kept in it. when he said he was going to cook, she nodded her head. “then i’ll be waiting for my order.” and while he was doing that she took her phone out to play a puzzle game.

Pablo returned from outside the kitchen, arriving with a large to-go bag of food for the young lady. He placed it in front of her gently and huffed with a smile. “So I made you your ordered items but I also put in some freshly made guacamole and salsa to go with the hot and ready tortilla chips I made. I really hope you enjoy them. Maybe I’ll see you around, right? Perhaps one of these days, I’ll stop over at your bakery and see what’s good, yeah? However, I don’t doubt that everything is probably delectable.” Pablo gave a quick wink and grinned. “I’ll be looking forward to the sweets, and you.”

“it’s my lunch break right now and i wanted to eat something mexican.” the mermaid said while looking at him blinking. “i think it would be better to pay though for it. it’s not good to work for free. i’ll give you my opinion as well. i may not look it but i’m quite skilled in the kitchen.” she then looked to the side blushing. “i’m not cute at all. but thank you for the compliment. it’s nice to hear one~”

“What? Nonsense. You’re beautiful! And...are you now? You want a job here? I’m hiring another cook in the back in the kitchen. If you’re interested, I can see just how talented in the kitchen you are. There’s not many places in South Korea here where you can find good and authentic Latin American food. It’s still out of reach here.” Pablo offered his hand out to the girl, his business card between his two fingers. “Feel free to call me if you’re up to my challenge, sweetheart. But, for now...I’ll get your order ready.” He let out a soft chuckle and went to the kitchen not wanting to delay her order. She was bubbly, and cute and very well mannered. Customers like her were always appreciated and a joy to have around. It was for those customers that Pablo could put his all into cooking and feel good about people eating his food.
