There was chemistry and he could feel that, beyond the powers he had. He could sense it under his fingers, underneath his skin, it was sizzling. And he just wanted to taste some more of that chemistry. 

“I won’t let your curiosity down.. I promise..” He then said. 

Valerian’s heart still beat. But the rhythm was faint, weak. He could only feel it, whereas to others it was as if it didn’t exist. He was different. Changed. Turned against his will. He needed Ludovica. He needed to feel her again… to taste her.

But for now, he only pulled her into a tight embrace, feeling the sudden shift as his eyes turned red, and his hunger spiked painfully. It was a sharp, burning pain that ripped through his abdomen and caused his head to throb. Upon instinct, as he buried his face into the crook of her neck he bit into the flesh, arms tightening around her and growling as the taste of her blood filled his mouth. Among other things, his senses.

He had to stop himself. He had to pull away. And he did. His body was instantly flooded with heat and he stumbled back, bewildered and astonished. Was this what it felt like? He’d only ever drank from another once. What was she? What was she if not a mortal?

It’d been too long. That much he knew. The heat throughout his body flooded all senses, and he felt himself becoming weak. He managed to stumble far enough to reach the nearest chair and quitw literally fell into it, mind in a haze and body sensitive, hot. There was something he needed, something he couldn’t place. And it hurt. And it burned.

“W… what is this?”

He didn’t talk. But she felt his arms around her and for a moment she felt as if she was melting there. Warm and safe in the arms of the man she loved.. But after that warm feeling around her, after surrendering to him despite her instinct, she perceived pain stinging her like a knife sinking into her flesh. “Valerian..” She called, without results. She could smell her own blood He was... biting her? What did he become? 

As he pulled away, Ludovica watched him in deep terror. She was frightened. She watched him, while her hand reached up to cup her own neck, touching the wet wound left there by his teeth. “What... are.... you?” She asked, kneeling down, feeling her strengths abandoning her. 

“WHAT ARE YOU?” She screamed. She was crushed. The man that she had welcomed under her sheets... was not what she thought he was. And now she had a deep wound to proof that. “What happened to you?” Crystal tears began to roll down on her cheeks. Confused, shocked, she didn’t move. She just let those tears fall down...
