okay but those posts that go “abandoning your friend with DPD/BPD is inherently abusive no matter what just tell them that you need to leave and slowly get out of the relationship!! uwu” make me visibly sick especially when i see people reblogging them uncritically. 

not only does this website help encourage toxic symptoms of personality disorders (yes. those exist.) but they tell those people with BPD or others that they should have those symptoms or else they are fake. 

this site loves to feed off of toxic methods + coping skills that can make someone with BPD / other even worse off. this can not only harm the person with the PD, but the friend that needs to get away from said person with the disorder. it is not inherently ableist to leave someone who you are uncomfortable with, PD or no.

if someone with a PD is abusing you (which does happen) you have every right to get out of there without so much as a fucking word to them. it is not ableist. you are putting your safety and mental health before others and there is nothing selfish or abusive or ableist about that.
