pinned intro post time!

Hi! I’m Alyssa. I’ve been on this hellsite since early 2011 and writing fanfic even longer than that, and for the most part I am here for the pretty and the emotions. I notoriously have a Type; hang out here long enough and you’ll see, or look at my ships / tags page here. All my fic can be found in this tag, or try the most common ship name / tag if you’re looking for anything specific. I’m always open for prompts and tend to squirrel things for years if they don’t speak to me at a given moment, and I like talking to people - askbox and messages are always open, let’s have feelings about fictional babes together! I do message new followers to reach out / say hi / get a sense of who’s here for what; it feels like the virtual equivalent of bringing homemade brownies to the new neighbors, and I would like to think I’m that kind of person.

I’m currently primarily screaming about: doomed power couple that broke the world my absolute beloveds // how the actual hell has this fixation lasted so long and through so many layers of projecting; also I have recovered enough from December 2019 for these two sunshines to be cathartic again

other stuff I’m reliably into: pack parents; why did we get no explanation for them, postapoc version; someone explain how i’ve been writing these two idiots for nearly ten years and having more fun with them NOW than ever before

I need to finish watching / establish tags and write fluff for: it’s not looking good for the winter break watchlist but maaaaybe one of the three things in the squirrel pile right now will get a win here; also kinda weighing something just slightly outside the normal content range here

Reverse Mother Mary Lady Jessica character of all time I fear. She’s an orphan made to be the armless mother-vessel to a mother-vessel, she defies her order for the first person she’s ever loved. She’s afraid of Paul’s visions, she walks him straight to them, she saves him from the desert, she takes the water because she can’t die and leave him alone (how forced was her hand?) but Leto is gone (Leto didn’t believe in revenge) so she stands on his grave and strangles the life out of their son. Here is her sword hand, long live the Messiah.
