if its safe enough for my pedalboard, it's safe enough for my cousin! Philly tonite
Drinking red wine and getting ready to call it an early night. We’ve been making a full time job out of rehearsing in a Sydney practice space for the next record, the working title of which is unmentionable. Were taking songs to a deeper level of collaboration than we have in the past; were going so far as to discuss the lyrics between the four of us for each song so as to be on the same page in terms of what were trying to communicate through our playing. We’ll see if it pays off…if nothing more, its stimulating.
So this is the final chapter of the trip, and at this point we’re getting really excited to return for grassroots. We inevitably fell out of the good ol' “blog groove” that seemed so promising at the beginning of this trip (John has held it down, I suppose). So to fill you in: the last show in Newcastle was really fun. A good way to round off the tour. Yep. See you soon.
Here is is folks: frustratingly brief snippets overheard in our van interrupted by australian birds.
Crashing back in sydney after a week on the road. Played an excellent warehouse venue/art space in Brisbane, grilled chicken with our hands in byron bay, and had sing-alongs with exceptional company in newcastle. Been getting some writing done, and I am fighting off a cold.
Getting distracted from this post because dana is improvising songs again...
