things about 8.08 that really hurt me

besides the obvious uh

1. “my little sister”

2. “…you wanna die?” “no, but i will” ugh, just his voice and the way he talks. i love his voice so so so much and just hearing the way it broke, that broke me. they asked on talking dead “was carl really ready to die up there” UH TF YOU THINK, THIS IS CARL GRIMES

3. carl limping around avoiding explosions trying to locate the manhole

4. when the explosions went off and his hat kept falling off, he’d keep putting it on again before walking towards the manhole again

5. every time carl was sent back by the explosions force, knowing how much pain he was in after falling off the wall and then getting nearly blown up several times and also being bitten but yet he perservered

6. rick finding michonne and stopping her from losing her mind

7. when they got into the sewer, seeing judith standing there, knowing how confused she must have been

8. and this is obvious, but seeing rick’s face looking at his dying son, the reason he’s made it this far, and knowing that’s going away… thank god for michonne bc otherwise rick would be toast. michonne hurts me even more bc carl literally brought her out of her dark bad place, after her son, boyfriend and his best friend were killed. she was closed off and carl and her got close, and built this amazing relationship full of trust and respect. seeing her collapse like that, now that broke my heart. they will never ever be the same.

9. knowing that this wasn’t chandler’s choice whatsoever and that gimple did him dirty, knowing how sad and disappointed he must have been as well as his family

10. knowing enid probably won’t ever see him again

11. “in memorium of carl grimes” i never ever thought i would genuinely see those 5 words on my television but here we are

12. seeing what chandler said on talking dead

13. having to wait til february

14. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BEAT THIS WORLD! LORI PROMISED!

15. we don’t get old man carl. this is not ok.

16. this is gonna hurt richonne so irreparably
