I’m so tired of every show that takes place in the past (wild west, medieval, pirates etc) ALWAYS having so much sexual violence towards women like writers can cry “oh it’s realism” all you want but it’s very transparent how realism only applies when you want to hurt women on screen. If we’re talking staying realistic, why doesn’t everyone have brown teeth? Or bad skin? Or dying of dysentery? Just admit y'all want an excuse to brutalize women on screen lol

This pisses me off so much. A lot of the time if you mention realism would also involve women having unshaved legs or pits, or bushy eyebrows, or syphilis, the answer is often “well that’s gross, no one wants to read about/see that” and like…. If you think that women being ugly is grotesque, but brutal depictions of rape aren’t, then I don’t really know what to say to you other than stay the fuck away from me.

So there's a very similar type of environment that does have tons of grasses. It's called a salt marsh.

But as you can see in the photo above, salt marshes don't have a ton of trees. So how do we resolve this?

Salt marshes and mangrove forests are usually mutually exclusive. Salt marshes thrive mostly in temperate areas (with notable exceptions, but still), and mangrove forests are largely tropical. However, there are a rare few places on Earth where their ranges overlap, and you get a mixed saltmarsh-mangrove biome.

Therefore I propose that this poll is currently recreating the Indian River Lagoon in central Florida.

The larger animals who call it home include, dolphins, small sharks, rays, alligators, and manatees!

The lagoon is made up of brackish water- meaning it is a mix of salt water and fresh water. Because of this, the water holds an extremely diverse environment. Once in a blue moon you might even see an otter swimming about!

It is a very very beautiful area in Central Florida that I highly recommend to any travelers.

oh my god this is me. i was addicted to designer amphetamines and completely delusional at the time of writing this. i had lost forty pounds and thought i was hot shit. i thought i was the reincarnation of Kurt Vonnegut. this was serious, and my friends laughed when they saw this go viral on twitter. it made me realize i had issues and im sober now. im also shocked i managed to stay employed at that time. To answer your question: im from LA but I grew up all around. I was living between Baltimore and NYC at the time. My mom is a beautiful Italian woman (Milan by way of Bolzano) and my dad is an insufferable Mexican from Montreal.
