“Reverse” changelings are rarely addressed on tumblr, but it’s actually something that I discuss with others in the craft frequently offline. So I thought I would compile it into a comic for witchblr!
Me: I feel so frustrated–it never feels like my faith is really a part of my day-to-day life.
Also me, without fail, whenever someone loses something: Bribe the house spirits; they’ll help.
Me at faire when it started to rain: THOR I WILL LITERALLY BAKE YOU SO MANY COOKIES IF YOU HOLD OFF FOR TWO MORE HOURS
Me: Spends half my time in the shower meditating on the nature of divinity
Me: Has a pile of crystals charging on top of my tablet
Me: wears a Mjolnir every day
Me: Constantly reading books/watching videos about funerary rites, death culture, and the modern American funeral industry, because deathwork is vital to my practice
It’s the little things, dammit.
Honestly, though, this is so true. Sure, there are rituals and lore and history, whatever, but so often our relgious expression is more subtle. It’s in our jewelry. It’s us greeting the moon. It’s gettin lost in thought in divinity walkin to the train. It’s not always about the most obvious things.

Dude about to make haikus:
“Oh you haven’t heard?”

Reblog if, at some point in your educational life, you have gotten in trouble for reading a book that ‘wasn’t assigned to you’ or reading ahead in a book you were given in class or reading under your desk
tbh the worst thing about being a self aware mentally ill person is that people assume that because you understand your illness you’re automatically able to actually apply your knowledge to your life and cure yourself
Do I know my brain isn’t making the most sense right now? Yes. Can I stop it? No.
Lookin’ at you, Tumblr.
Grow up. Not everything is made to your demands, the people who make the decisions don’t care, and you’re only hurting people.
May you find exactly what you want at the thrift shop, in your price range, next time you’re there.
can’t pass up this kinda karma
and in your size
definitely cant pass it up now jeez

Just because you did something wrong in the past doesn’t mean you can’t advocate against it now. It doesn’t make you a hypocrite. You just grew. Don’t let people use your past to invalidate your current mindset.

Some ideas for bad things that are white/light:
Some ideas for good things that are black/dark:
Think to burn, to infect, to bleach vs. to enrich, to protect, to be of substance.
*slams reblog like the fist of an angry god*
the politics of light and dark are everywhere in our vocabulary…psa to writers: subvert this, reveal whiteness and lightness as sometimes artificial and violent, and darkness as healing, the unknown as natural
