First I started drawing this piece only knowing his character fully from the drama. Then, when I finished the novel, had to redraw it a bit, to change his expression. Because novel wkx and drama wkx are slightly different. And I love every moment of each.

listen this isn't even only about me wanting him to face consequences

this is the fuck around and find out story. nobody gets to escape consequences for the things they do. nobody gets to go back to the way it was before. it is bad storytelling and in complete defiance of the story's themes if huaisang alone inexplicably gets to tear the world apart and then happily revert to his teenage years and get all his old friends back as if nothing happened, as if he didn't expose the way anyone-- even someone who seems like they're sitting back and don't care and can't be bothered-- is capable of abusing society's mechanisms of vengeance and prejudice for their own ends. if he alone can rip his heart and soul out for revenge but somehow put them back again afterwards. that's not how it works here.
