“No it’s fine, I just... I’m not sure what I was prepared for, really” he said walking with him. He looked around, definitely seeing the richness screaming from the decor and interior. He looked back to Kyle then, giving a nod, “I’ll do my best” he said, giving him a smile before going to see his father.
He watched him, just holding a smile until he was spoken to, “yes, that’s me. I’ve heard very much about you Mr. Jacobs, it’s a true pleasure to meet you” he said, polite but honestly. He gave a nod and moved to sit, really nervous about all of this but actually seemed pretty calm on the outside. A skill he learned from years of working at the prison. “Oh, well. It was a real pleasure having Kyle and his team to come help out in the prison. I’ve worked there for quite some years now, and the latest years I’ve been running it” he told him. “I didn’t have any intentions, but the longer I spent around Kyle, well. I realized what a good and kind human he is, and we actually have a lot in common, which can be rare these days. My hobby besides working at the prison is horses. I’m actually an educated farrier, from my younger days and I still do the work when I’m not at the prison. Mostly I find it very calming and fun, so it doesn’t really feel like a job” he told him. “Kyle told me he and you guys had horses, so that was a first interest. I’m also actively working out to keep my shape up for the prison. It’s very nice to have someone who’s enjoying a morning run together before work” he said smiling some. “And he’s very hard working. I really enjoy a partner who’s as passionate and eager about work as myself.”
He wasn’t really sure what was good or bad to say, but he just wanted to tell how they had a lot in common and that they weren’t just “a thing”. But actually were a couple and that he really cared for Kyle.
