In preparation for the Slumber Party, set to begin February 5th, we'd like to give you an idea of what you can expect throughout the event.

Writer's Activity:

Each week, writers will be challenged to write a piece based on an open prompt.

Alongside this, writers will be asked to share the love and comment on each others work. We will provide a writer's list for this purpose and a specific prompt to guide you in providing feedback!

Readers Activity:

Note that you do not have to sign up for these activities and these will be posted for any and all to engage. As a writer, we highly encourage you to get in on the fun and interact with each other.

Readers will be provided with questions and prompts to send to their favourite writers and share their thoughts on their favorite works. They may choose to message as many writers as they wish, as always the more the merrier.

We've already posted our list of prompt blogs and resources, but we will be providing similar posts on writing processes and tips from around the web.

Reblog Your Faves!:

We will post so that readers and writers alike can share and talk about their favorite stories.

Ask Games:

We will be posting ask games to encourage more interaction. We are open to suggestion as we continue to work on ideas.

We are also open to ideas going forward and would like to hear about anything else you might like to see in this event.

Update: How To Keep Seeing My Smuts & Other Writers'

As per Tumblr's New "Community Label" Update

Hello! I've seen other writers make a post about the new update, so I wanted to make one of mine to notify my readers.

As you may know, Tumblr is pushing a Community Label update in which users are allowed to filter the content they want to see. While this is highly beneficial for those who want to avoid seeing content they aren't fond of, this can make you stop seeing the smuts a lot of writers in this community create.

If you want to keep enjoying our smuts:

For Website:

Go to Dashboard Settings, and click the Show circle in the Community Labels section on Mature content. Do the same for Sexual themes. You can choose whether to tick the options of the other choices or not.

For Mobile:

Go to Account Settings, then choose Content you see.

Go to the Community Labels section and click the arrow beside Hide on Mature. Then, click Show for both Mature and Sexual themes. Again, it is your choice if you want to tick the Show button for the other choices.

I wake up suddenly, my heart pounding in my chest and panic rising through me. I listen carefully for another sound and slide my hand down my side, wrapping my fingers around the cold, hard metal of the baseball bat left there by my best friend when I moved in six months ago.

I slowly slide out of bed and pull on some leggings and slippers as quietly as the creaky floorboards beneath me will allow. The noise coming from my kitchen has quietened but I can definitely hear someone down there, rummaging through my things. It’s absolutely typical that this happened the one night I leave my phone on the sofa, I didn’t want to be woken by an alarm and now my one lifeline feels a million miles away.

Sneaking slowly into the bathroom opposite me I frantically look around, my eyes landing on a large bottle of hairspray and my brain quickly remembering all the times I’ve caught myself in the eyes while I’ve been distractedly chatting and getting ready at the same time.

It’ll have to do.

If I get murdered in this apartment that would sum up my pathetic life, I moved here after finding out my shithead of an ex was cheating on me and thought this would be a fresh start. I thought the area was nice, a little too quiet for my taste but exactly what I needed after finding the person who claimed to love me balls deep inside our neighbour.

UGH, GOOD GOD THIS WAS SO GOOD.

I love a confident, capable reader. I love their little dynamic and the way they bounce of each other. She totally could've handle herself, I fully believe it. But God, having that beautiful beast step in and drive someone off for you sounds like the perfect 'fuck you' to any would be idiots or menaces.
