Took the weekend to update my CC Finds. Not only new themes, but also a revamped tagging system (yes, i went through the entire blog to retag/delete some things.. thank god for the mass editor post which helped to add new tags without going one by one). I will start tagging per character and story so that it can be used as a wcif of sorts. Not everything is reblogged though, because I am not consistent. But I will do what I can. Brazil is going through one of the worst climatic crisis ever seen.
i live in the southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. we have been suffering from extreme, nonstop rainstorms for a week now. the rivers are flooding, reaching 4-6 meters above their natural level. people are being rescued by helicopters, neighborhoods are being evacuated. entire cities are slowly but surely becoming submerged in water. 60 people missing and counting. 32 deaths and counting.
and this is not new. last november also had a flood like this one. 50 dead, many material losses. it happened again this january, with thousands being left without power or water for days.
three catastrophical disasters within less than a year. three disasters only a few months apart.
this is not natural.
unsustainable agricultural practices and politics led to this. a complete disregard for nature led to this. greed led to this. always greed.
when it comes to the climate crisis, i cannot stress this enough: we need to act now if we still want to live. disasters like this are going to happen more often and they're going to be much, much worse. this flood is being considered the worst climatic catastrophe in the history of my state. i don't know how long it will take for another bigger one to happen and take its place. i just know it will be sooner than it should.

Hi everyone, my region is currently on a flood situation, a lot of cities are underwear. I'm mostly fine but I don't have water service since Tuesday. A lot of friends had material issues and water inside their houses. Three of our major roads are obstructed so most cities are out of reach or with very difficult access.
My goal with this post is just to raise awareness about the climate changes that are happening, not only here but around the world. Be safe

As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
I'm also gonna stop listing the reasons why I recognize something is a scam. It's becoming more and more clear there is 1 person behind this STRING of scams and they're leaving less trails behind but it still reeks of them and their MO.
DO NOT TRUST ANY GOFUNDME OR REQUEST FOR CROWDFUNDING THAT PALESTINIAN BLOGGERS HAVEN'T VERIFIED.
At this point I'm fine receiving a bunch of inbox messages asking me to vet x y z so y'all can avoid this shit. But please have some critical thinking!

Time for a chat
Life has been a bit crazy lately. I started my new job a few weeks, I have 9 patients there, and I already got my first paycheck which I got to pick up yet (not a lot of money, but decent for the amount of work). Plus, I’m still have a part time job with my dad as his secretary. That means most of my time is occupied either with work, worrying about work, or trying to rest enough. Needless to say, most of my hobbies have been sidelined. I’m definitely not where I wanna be just yet, but I’m on the way, which means I gotta prioritize to get what I want. I’m getting sick a lot too, the last two days were hellish, and, I don’t know if it’s my defenses that are low, or a side effect of dengue, but I am constantly tired or feeling under the weather. Because of this, I haven’t been doing much related to sims. I am trying to get back at it, but at this moment I need a breather. So, I don’t know when I’ll be back, but I hope to and I hope it’s soon.
Anyway, I hope you guys are doing well. I haven’t been here much to see you do things, but maybe I’ll catch up with some of your blogs, see what you’ve been up to. Sending you all virtual hugs!
