First sample of photos from the camping trip up at Jay Cooke/Gooseberry state park! I haven’t pulled all of the (hundreds!) of photos off the Nikon, so these phone camera shots will do for now. (Also, I still need to reinstall photoshop so it might be a while).
Kept myself pretty damn busy the whole time, and I almost ran out of time for my mandatory plein air session. I think I’ll keep picking at the painting to develop it further. I never get the washes dark enough on location.
Despite being unbearably hot (for me) and the drought, I really enjoyed both parks. Can’t get enough waterfall/forest therapy, and these are some quality rocks to top it all off.
FANGS got nominated for an Eisner Award! To say I’m floored by this is an understatement…I may have shed a tear or two. Thank you so much and congrats to the other nominees!

I regret to inform people with the passing of Ken Andrews. We lost this kind soul on April 27th, 2021. We appreciate everything you all did for Ken, and how much love you showed him. He's not hurting anymore, he's with his mom, dog Chance, and his belly button. Hopefully still making art up in the sky. I would have been on here earlier, but it's been very hard. Thank you all, for everything you did for him.
Rest in Peace my friend.

After an accidental fall that l led to assistance having to be called I am having to make many changes to how I live because that can never happen again.l
Big news, big plan, the one uncle that actually knows plumbing says for $350 in supplies he can fully convert my bathroom to the point where the whole room is practically a shower, this is so exciting. Tile everwhere, room for one of those huge shower chairs the hospitals have.
Vaccination complete! I received my 2nd shot of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. Despite my best efforts, my left arm is aching and all but useless, but aside from that, my only inconveniences have been muscle aches and fatigue, so as soon as I get through that, I hope to be back to my (semi) productive self.
Driving up to my grandparents and saw what I thought was roadkill. Turned out to be an immature hawk with a broken wing, couldn't tell what kind.
I caught him in the angry birds blanket I had in my backseat and then placed him in a bin covered with my coat.
He was a very good sport and i dubbed him Tony, Tony hawk.
Tony is now safely with a raptor center in southern Minnesota after a couple hour road trip. I'll post updates on monday when I call the center again!
unfortunately you can be seen as both, by different people or by the same people at different times... including doctors
