Hello everyone! Thank you everyone for being so patient with me while become acquainted with my grief. It’s almost been a year since my dad passed away and I’m at the point where I feel comfortable being creative again. My first returning post is dedicated to my dad and how much he has helped me grow as a person.

Today’s smile question: who has helped you become the person you are today?

For me, I have uniquely small ears. I used to be really shy of having them as a kid, but now think they are quite nice. They are made perfectly for me and I love them :)

What's your favorite unique feature?

In college, I had a really hard time getting through my engineering courses. Around my sophomore year, I actually failed a course. Like, failed failed. I think it was circuits? Anyways, I had to go to summer school to make it up. It wasn't easy going through it. I doubted myself a bunch and even thought about changing majors. But, I ended up sticking through it and got my degree. I'm so proud of myself for not quitting when times got tough!

What adversity have you overcome? 

For me, what keeps me living is a plethora of little things. Blue skies. Green grass. Smiles. New tastes, sights, and smells. Puppies. Pies. Happy moments. And, so much more. If I weren't living, I wouldn't be able to experience these wonders!
