Laila Dermott being Lebanese is my Super Bowl. Anyways here’s some info about how she might look to help artists/writers, because the West doesn’t have the best understanding on who Lebanese people are.

We didnt really get much of a description of laila or cat, but there was a kind of blink-and-you-miss-it moment in which it was mentioned that laila visited her family in beirut, so that might suggest she could be at least partly lebanese? Just wanted to point it out, because I think I've seen most art so far portray her as (seemingly) white, which she very well could still be, but I think it's mostly bcs it's mentioned so early on in the book that most people forgot or else i wouldve expected more art to portray her as arab?
(this is btw not at all intended as like a call out or anything! I've just been wondering about it and since you mentioned we didn't get physical descriptions of the both of them, I figured it could be an opportunity to check and see how others read that moment!)

afaik we don't get a description of Cat and Laila, and if we ever get one, i'll probably update things here and there, but for now these are the vibes i get for them both!
